Are these easy to fit? I have an old fashioned one at the min, think it just has 2 wires coming off it.

I just watched a video on YouTube. It looks easy enough!

It's just not clear if it includes the hub though

Check Toolstation they had Hive V1 for £60

Does include hub!

Save yourself £90 and get the V1. Functionality is identical just the wireless Stat doesn't look as pretty. Easy to fit yourself as well.

Admit it is a good price for the v1 but much prefer the look of the stat of v2 in my hallway!!

If you have a look on the British gas website there currently selling it for £10 a month (or £9 for customer's) and it includes fitting. The cancellation fee in the first year is £150 or £60 in the second.

Seems the cheapest way to get hive fitted

I can't Seem to find any instructions on how to self install besides the instructions that come with it, can't seem to find what is the common wire? And do I run the
Box from a 13a fuse spur? Don't want to splash out on a plumber tbh

Tempted by this myself when looking a few weeks back. Just couldn't see an option for a second heating zone on the monthly deal.

I purchased the second zone yesterday from screwfix £99 with two free hive bulbs. At some point this week I'll go through with the British gas offer.

I currently have a heating system that also has a timer for hot water on couple of times a day to a hot water tank so am guessing the version 1 can't do that as well so not a straight swap?

If you've already got a timer or a stat wired in then you will be using the same wires already there as all this is doing is turning the heating on and off as instructed from the stat. The actual control box that wires to the boiler will even slide straight onto the backing plate of several commonly used (British Gas) old timers and stats as the little metal pins all correspond
