Zinc thermostat stand for hive heating. Have been waiting for a price drop for a while as these are 29.99 usually and rarely discounted. Seems like a good price at 23.99.

Still a rip off.

Still a rip off.

just put it on the wall

It's a rip off but if you have a thermostat that's not wall mounted you need one and this is a very good price for it, I've been tracking on camel camel since I had hive installed as 29.99 was even worse.

Same price at wickes. If you're planning to buy other stuff from wickes (over £75) and your local store stock Hive goods, you can get a further 15% off with code BLACK15.

how come no one has made a knock off copy of this for a few quid like mobile phone cases? Anyone know if there is a 3d printer plan to make one?

I seriously don't get this! I've got Hive & the great thing about the system is that you control everything from your smartphone. The thermostat should be fixed in 1 place so your home heats up correctly. If you want to heat a particular room or zone, that's what thermostatic valves are for.
Just saying

just found this. thingiverse.com/thi…927 Going to see if I can get a mate to make me one.
must be cheaper than £24. should be no more than a fiver for a stand surely? total rip off.

I agree mate, I have mine sat in the same place in one room but like others, I don't want to ruin my walls by having it fixed to it. Mine is hidden on a little shelf, out of the way of the kids but sat on it's side. Would rather have a little stand to put it on.

What about Command removable picture hangers and just put the velcro on the back of the T-stat ?

I'd pay £10 a pop for the email addresses of people who buy these.

had to google what that was and it's not a bad shout. still rather have a stand at a reasonable price though.

Yes this is an expensive stand but it's a low price for the product. I've ordered one because to be honest, the hive stat wasn't cheap and I don't want it broken falling over on a make shift solution. The thermostat is weighty and if your not careful a plastic stand will be top heavy. I'd much rather pay a fiver for a knock off stand but they dont exist. Hope it helps someone out who like me might have been after one of these for some time but at slightly more believable price.

I removed all items from my wall other than the TV and the thermostat was ruining my OCD.

This isn't cheap plastic crap by the way, the stand is weighty, really well crafted, looks really smart in the colour they've made it and allows me to sit the thermostat in a position of my choosing that is aesthetically pleasing.

I paid £23.99 about a year ago, and it is well worth the money.

Well overpriced but the build quality is great. I keep mine in the kid's bedroom at winter and as the temperature drops below what I set it to, it comes on until the temperature is satisfied.

Heat added but only because normal price is a common sense shattering £29.99!

We don't sleep with the heating on... I meant to say at night in winter the children's bedroom stays at a comfortable temp, we turn all the other rads off using TRVs... next question..

The thing is mate, if you live in a really old house with walls that just don’t warm up in the winter then fixing it to said wall gives a false reading. Even the internal walls are cold.

But I still agree that it’s a ripoff
