Thanks, I've had a look and the page and didn't find it, probably need to download the manuals..

2x AA... Included as well...
Warning to those considering, the implementation of these in the app is rubbish. At the moment there’s no way to group thermostats so you have to set individual schedules.
Reviews are pretty dire.
Recently looked around for smart TRVs and ended up buying Honeywell Evohome. More expensive but does exactly what it promises, so happy with it so far.
These are excellent, have 10 installed and they all work perfectly. You'll need to spend about 10 days configuring them properly and then its sweet. Key fix, in order for Heat on Demand, the boost temperature the TRV can is default to 22.5 degrees. If your main thermo is in a place where it is higher than 22.5, it won't boost. Call Hive and tell them to set it higher to a temperature your main thermostat won't ever reach like 30 degrees and manage that area with the TRVs so it doesn't become an oven in that room.

I say that just because every person in my household has a different heat preference to another person and getting it absolutely perfect is labour of love. The phone call to hive goes literally like this, "Please set my heat on demand boost temperature to X degrees". That's it. Look at my attached image, it shows the variance of temperature preferences in my household as oppose to before where everyone is either roasting or freezing together. 39946932-r8IFm.jpg
I use the Drayton Wiser TRV's. Happy with them and £39.99 from Screwfix
Good price if you want the Hive ones though..

You can set the thermostat to your desired temperature in the app now.
Have a load of these fitted and they are great. As said previously took about a week or so to fully calibrate. Even she who must be obeyed loves them

Got mine with a previous British Gas 50% off voucher but that has ended now

I’ve got my living room and dining room grouped into a Downstairs group.
Had these and sent them back. My experience wasn't great. They would never fully shut the radiators off which defeated the object of them. Loads of others have reported the same issue too. It is a down to luck if they work ok for you.

On a plus, hives support team are pretty good, they even replaced one of my bulbs I got two years ago when it went pop

Agree that evohome is best overall solution but if your home is already zoned then hive is cost effective solution.

P.s. can buy Bluetooth rad valves for around 25 quid each and group them from Amazon. No online control just Bluetooth via app
