Are they not selling as well as they hoped?

That's a big neg neg on that good buddy/budette, I think I may have mentioned it, in the OP6 prelaunch thread way back, it is not that they have made too many of one particular colour or finish on the handsets, it was because they did not give it some thought in the r&d dept with oppo's design lot, the mirror black ((not sure if you have seen / held / used one yet!)) is awful to hold, it is like someone has put fly paper or chip fat on the back of it after you have used it a few times, your whole secure ID via fingers and thumbs is all over it, it is nothing like a mirror black after that! It is also very, very slippery compared to the other 2, so lot more chance of dropping it or it slipping out of our hand when taking it out of your bag or pocket etc.

They have done the same with the silk white as well, completely and utterly under estimated just how many would sell and who would want one!!!

Hmm.. The phrase stick to what you know springs to mind.
I haven't held one yet, but no doubting I will at some point, the silk white intrigues me.

just put a case on it, better still a skin!!
What's the difference between "6+64GB" version and "Global Version 6+64GB Mirror Black" version?

Try telling that to the 2 distribution forwarding centers lumbered with all the stock sometimes something so simple is not so simple!

Or even better still, just invest in one that you can use au naturale ((as the good lord intended!)) like what Andy (android god!) has realised over at Essential.. "Oh hang on.. my really slippy, naff looking, tacky shiny, finger print magnet, ID theft with sellotape on the back, phone colour is not selling, no problems.. lets make a Stellar Grey one to solve the negative feedback!"

>> month later.. sales are booming again!!!

The mirror black variant from OP is and was going to be a mistake from the start.. but like Apple (with the copied notch idea from the android EH1 design by the way) they will not admit the iPhone X, was and is a failure!

Was looking at one of these yesterday. It apparently comes with a case in the box (and an already fitted screen protector!)

They do ((some)) have a resin based film screen fitted on them, would take it off and fit spigen liquid one straight away, the pvc chinese case that comes with it, fits better than most of the oem especially made ones for them, but it just defeats the object of the mirror black design, with the silk white and midnight black ones, there is no need to put one on it, if you do not want to!

£30 more and a imaged rom for outside of China use

Best thing to do is stick yesterdays full flashed rom on any OP6 asap anyway, they needed an urgent fix for the security hole and also to allow users to *mask* the nasty notch with the software fake fix!

forums.oneplus.com/thr…50/

1/6/18: The OnePlus 6 suffers from a serious security flaw that could let attackers bypass the handset's locked bootloader with any modified boot image.

That's according to Edge Security LLC president and XDA Developers forum member Jason Donenfeld, who claim that the vulnerability allows an attacker with physical access to a OnePlus 6 and a tethered connection to a PC to take control of the device. What's more, if the boot image is modified with insecure ADB and ADB as root by default, then an attacker with physical access will have total control over the device.

Silk White is now back in stock if you are interested, but at full price of £519, but that is for 8Gb RAM and 128Gb storage. I would rather pay the extra to get it direct from the manufacturer myself. Also, it ships from The Netherlands so it won't be a long wait for delivery.

Oneplus 6 Silk White 8Gb RAM and 128Gb memory
Heat from me, more like the price for a OnePlus anyway. So what if I have to flash the official ROM, for some it's a deal breaker, not for me
Warranty?
64GB isn't big enough!
Import/custom charges?
