Carrying a bin bag to town must be fun
Ironically, the stuff I'd want to ditch is stuff I bought cheap from h&m online, and when it arrives...you realise why it's cheap.
How big does the bag have to be to get a voucher? Like a bin bag or a grocery carrier bag? Ive got tons to throw away might aswell get vouchers if they going
You have to spend £30 or more to use the £5 off.

Drop your bag of unwanted clothing in the recycling box at your local store. All textiles are welcome – any brand, any condition – even odd socks, worn-out T-shirts and old sheets. The textiles are then sent to the nearest recycling plant, where they’re sorted by hand. For every bag of textiles you drop off, you’ll receive a voucher towards your next exciting purchase.

It was £25 last time I've used it

I'd take anything from H&M and put it straight in the recycling
I probably won’t use the voucher but it’s great to know that they recycle fabric
Not a great deal, Rapanui offer up to £5 per item and it gets recycled back into new tshirts. Circular economy!

Helpful...
Does anyone actually look at the items in the bag. I think I'd be embarrassed if they did
It can be any bag. Every so often I will take a bag or 2 to recycle. They are always a grocery bag size or similar, not bin bag size! And no, they dont look in the bags, they go straight into the recycle bin. They then give you a voucher for £5 off when you spend £25 (I think) which is valid for around 6 months.

Disgusting behaviour from a retailer but it seems they are not the only one....

How about a nappy sack?
Personally I like h&m clothes for kids. I think they wash and wear well and great value for money especially when on sale. Sometimes I'm able to keep items my older son has worn for my younger one because they are in pretty good nick. That's just my experience with kids clothes can't speak for their womens or mens clothing.

Only for their own brand clothing being returned. No wonder they can offer a fiver off when their t-shirts are £25 each.
Great idea - thanks for posting. Heat.

The only positive and informative comment I've seen here. Thanks.

They should do £5 voucher with no minimum spend to motivate to bring bag full of used clothes. Those money off vouchers like spend £30 to get £5 off are usual offers if you are h&m club member.

But people would then take loads of tiny Asda bags for the vouchers and getting £100s worth, which would cost H&M a lot of money.
Anything is better than what burberry do !!! burnt £105 mil of unsold stock in the last 5 years, disgusting independent.co.uk/new…tml
it must vary from store to store, when Blackpool was open they used to check what was in the bag and would also refuse a voucher if they didn't think that you had donated enough - maybe this exemplary attitude to customer contribution was part of the reason they shut down....
