Guessing if it's a gift card it can be spent on anything...off to have a look, thanks OP!

Unfortunately you need an American Express card to purchase the vouchers. Still a hot deal though.

But they dont have any ipads in stock! Good deal if you want something else though.

This thread has been posted before with loads of trouble using more than 1 evoucher, be careful

most ipads are in stock , the mini is in big demand so if it works thats fab!

under section 75 you can recover the money spent if the company goes under.

They've not had ipad minis in at all yet..

Bought some last week for the ps3 for £113 or £119 then by the time my vouchers were emailed it shot up to £185 and had to buy some more codes.just make sure it's an item that might not increase in price as I didn't get such a good deal on the ps3 I could of got it cheaper elsewhere

How long does it take them to email the vouchers? Just ordered a couple...

It takes them a couple of days to get teh vouchers to you.

My brother bought some before Xmas and picked up a £479 iPad 4 for £384 - better than used price.

It was a bit of a pain as he had to type something like 25 codes individually into the HMV website !

I bought mine 2 months ago and IPads are still out of stock at most stores and online. Now I am stuck with these vouchers until I get some stock.

Hmv is not going bust. They recently announced their quarterly results and the loss is less than last year. They are in trouble, yes, but they won't disappear quickly. You are looking at at least 18 months. Trust me I know this. I am not allowed to tell my source but if anyone could know about hmv, that would be me.

Hot, Thanks, they also have 20% off Waterstones gift cards and vouchers. I got £40 of book tokens for £33.59 delivered.

They had stock in December when my brotehr ordered his

Got a dirt cheap PS3 over Christmas from this. These are great if you can find something cheap on hmv.com!

The list of available tech from hmv seems to be disappearing faster than a sink-full of water. Cant find any ipods in stock. Not tried ipads but then im not after one. Good deal though if there's something hmv have in stock that you want.

careful with gift cards remember thousands lost money few years back when the old zavvi went under and gift cards became worthless overnight. Cash is king i think at the moment.

As soon as someone says 'Trust me', I stop trusting them. With Apollo Global Management buying up large chunks of HMV's debt for an obvious reason, them failing to meet loan agreements, their share price falling 40%, sales dropping by something like 10% every six months and them selling off the Live entertainment elements of their business aka MAMA Group & the Hammersmith Apollo, it’s really difficult to see what can save them. Then again, what do I know.

Trust me, I thinly you know a little more than the tomato ketchup man

I got a nexus 7 32gb for 160£ using this. Bought the e-vouchers when it was in stock and by the time I received the email it was OOS! That was the 17th Dec, but mercifully it was despatched (apparently) yesterday. Great price, but I'm not sure I would do it again, regardless of any 'sources'...

So, Mr In-the-know, you knew about HMV running out of iPads, and still bought the gift cards?
With your investment I am sure they will stay afloat... by a few more minutes.

Uhm, I know people like their expensive tech but these vouchers can be used on plain old boring CDs/DVDs & BDs etc! Combine this 20% discount with the 5 off 35 and you can get some great savings...more likely to be stock of these too!

20% off for me!

What's the "£5 off £35"? Must have missed that...

Does this work on pre-orders? The skyfall 20% didnt, which is why my query.

Well, there is a code J313 that takes £5 off a £35 spend...I'm not sure wether it's ended now though!

Works with preorders too

Finished now

Going bust in the morning.

Yep..looks like they are following Jessops.. Doesn't look like that "source" was that reliable..

Don't you know he has his "sources".

Even though they are now appointing administrators, I'm sure his sources can be trusted.

He probably knows some temp in the stock room who thinks he has more knowledge than the CEO. Idiots.
