Thanks for posting your find @Constant_Owl Hasn't got hot in this instance, but don't let that put you off - think my first deal went something like -3,000 :D

So much for my 1st deal. I just though people might be interested.

Only £2 each for handmade ones with choice of material where live. Wouldn’t be paying that much to make my own

Or get some similar ones from Home Bargains for £1.49 each and £2 in lots other places. This may be a good deal after 24th, as there is a possibility not to find any in store, same as before, when the hand gel vanished.

Necchi Jeans Pro sewing machine - £165 Delivered @ Hobbycraft

My daughter decided that she has had enough of my wife's ancient Singer and so set me the task of finding a new machine. Amazed to see that practically everywhere was out of sewin… Read more

It's actually difficult to find who owns/makes these now as I believe the name has been sold out on license. Aldi/Lidl used to deal in Singer Machines but appear to have moved around to Necchi base models since the SVP buyout in 2018. Singer is now part of the Husky/Viking brand group with Sweden as a main point of manufacturing. Necchi in America is distributed by Janine, although it's unclear if they also manufacture the machines. Over all if it does what you need and lasts the way it should win win. This particular model/brand just wouldn't be my choice.

Having received it, it is made in Vietnam. Essentially identical to the Singer 4411 (maybe that's why it is Q411); with the central dial changed plus this has a needle threader. No out of stock, though!

I feel to come out this crisis Britain have reset lot of things and the youth have to step up. Time is similar like after world war2 and need to allow lot of indulgence to be forgotten and work harder

Singer isn't not what it once was. Vietnam and Sweden are actually large producers of quality build machines these days, but the mainly plastic kind are Chinese. Computerised machines certainly make things easier, but when they go wrong, they do it often in a spectacular fashion (pun intended)

All the "reasonably priced" ones have been snapped up by people making plague masks.

Agreee with Jamie. I just got mine few days ago (after seeing this posting) and very happy with the build quality. It is sturdy and very easy to open/close. I haven’t seen an electric version. Also, the very bottom shelf can be removed (unscrewed) if the user was to really find it annoying for when sitting at the desk. Leaflet inside that looks like it comes with a 10 year manufactures warranty, so it is a amazing deal at this price, especially with the ‘hiked-up’ prices for this items at the moment.

Great deal this, I ordered at it arrived very quickly. The desk is quite weighty in a good way. I'm currently working and minding my 11 month old baby. The desk can easily keep my laptop steady whilst a baby keeps trying to climb up the side/back, climb underneath, headbut from below, stack slippers on top of etc etc. Is there an electrified version?

Anybody can recommend any good space saving chairs to go with this?

Amazon have listed what seems to be the same thing as 13.5Kg. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stow-Away-Desk-White-Maple/dp/B01GGF8VD0

I see where you are coming from but you need to focus on the big issue of single use plastics when making these types of comments. This item will be around storing stuff for decades maybe. I have a bunch of really useful boxes in the loft storing a load of stuff before it gets car booted or freecycled. (y)

Don't confuse these with their standard range with thicker plastics & supported sides & bases. These have the thin honeycomb bases so with have thinner plastic all round but still better than the cheaper supermarket ones. These are not airtight just like their standard ones.

That won't be really useful ones, it'll be Tesco own brand.

I’m majorly eco friendly, but I own my own buisness and have to store certain items in these or the moisture wrecks them. I get that buying them to use briefly is awful but I’ve been using my two for 6+ years and need two more due to expanding stock. Everything has its place. Replacing airtight duty containers with an amazon box does not work for many people. Also if storing in a garage these will be needed. Cardboard boxes aren’t moisture resistant. The main plastic issue arises with food packaging and carbon usage.

These are great I use one for cupcake decorations

According to the internet: "“Self-healing” cutting mats are made from independent tiny pieces pressed together to create a solid cutting surface. When you cut on the mat using a rotary cutter, the blade actually goes between the tiny pieces, separating them, and not cutting into the surface as a whole unit. After the cut is made, the surface has a “memory” and closes back together, thus it is referred to as “self-healing.” This is why it is very important to always use a sharp blade in your rotary cutter. A dull blade can actually slice the mat because it is not able to make that thin precise cut. In addition, always keep your cutter at a 90° angle when cutting on the mat. It is easy to hold it slightly slanted instead of perfectly perpendicular, even when using a rotary cutting ruler. The slanted cut can actually cut the tiny pieces rather than separating them, leaving a gash in the mat."

Can I use this as chopping board?
