Same price in Morrisons.

I prefer the bottles and 5.2 against 4.5 ABV
2 x 500ml bottles = £2.50 per litre = £12.50 per 5 litres.
Based on £1.25 per bottle.

Good beer though, so voted hot

Yep, nice beer..... But i also buy the 500ml bottles at £1.25.
Also 6.6% King Goblin for same price.

Same price in Morrisons. Also my local has 12 bottles (5.2% 500ml) for £12 - Happy days

Good price delivered if you have Prime but usually around £13ish in Supermarkets. I know Iceland, Morrisons and Tesco stock this and usually fluctuates between £12-£14

For me personally Morrisons is the better price (with 10% UNiDAYS) as opposed to amazons 5% with NUS but heat added for the price OP

Needs to be drunk within 3 days. Perfect excuse to get sozzled mid week

£13 in Asda and Morrison's, £13.99 in Iceland, £15 in Tesco at the moment.

Is your local a 'national'?
If that makes sense?

What state will it be in once yodel get hold of it.......?

amazon will always match shop prices so when supermarkets lower amazon will do the same.

Thank you, I'll have a look tomorrow.

keg can be reused for homebrewing..got one hobgoblin filled with my own brews

a thread on a homebrew forum said these were £9.99 (£11.99 Inc vat) in Costco. someone replied that they were £5.93 (£7.16 Inc vat) in Chester

I prefer this from the bottles. I got myself a keg as a birthday treat and didn't enjoy it as much. not voting either way but it's a good price for 5L of good beer

Something not right about this and the draught version in clubs now. The bottle at 5.2 is a lovely drink, but this 4.5 version doesn't taste the same. It is getting more commercial. Will see it as much as John Smiths plug and play in most clubs and pubs soon.

Looks like I'll be buying a few of these for homebrew

Totally agree. The 5.2% is divine. I had a pint of the 4.5% stuff last night in a table table pub and I didn't really enjoy it. It was very disappointing, a totally different flavour, and nothing like the flavour and richness complexity of the 5.2.

good price for this product. thanks.

Agreed. It's all about the tax I believe. Remember reading anything 5% or over attracts a much bigger levy hence why all the usual suspects that were once over 5% (stella, Kronenbourg, Bud, Grolsch etc) now down to 4.8%. Me, I'm sticking with my McEwans Champion Ale at 4 for 6 quid at tesco. 7.3% at the moment *or 1.45 a bottle in Asda) and there'd be a riot if they tried to sneak it down to 4.8%

I think the pub taste difference is because of Fast Cask - fastcask.com/int…asp. A great ale but only the 5.2% version. I bought a couple of these kegs when they were £7.50 reduced at Tesco just before last christmas to make space. Was nice enough not not a patch on the bottles. They made very nice waste paper bins once done though (after a friend used a plasma cutter to remove the top).

Yes same price in Asda. Too big for my fridge but HOT anyway. Deal not beer.
