Looks pretty sweet!

Chrome/Firefox: Hola Unblocker is a browser extension that removes region locks and allows you to watch BBC iPlayer, Netflix, Hula, Pandora, and more regardless of where you live. It doesn't require any set up and works right out of the box.

thnx will give it a go

I tried it out yesterday loads pages quicker than a vpn works ok for the sites stated but doesn't work for all US only content.

The issue with it not being a VPN is that someone else has access to all of your outbound and inbound traffic, meaning that if this is at all malicious, someone can redirect you wherever they want you to go, I'd stick to a VPN if I was you.

I agree with Andy, I hate it when people know what video clips I've been watching online, or even worse sends me to the wrong video clip! Picture the scene, you're sitting at your computer searching for funny cat videos and videos of monkeys on motorbikes appear.

If you install the Chrome or Firefox extension then can't you just set it to disabled until you want to enable and use it for a bit?

Just given this a whirl and it's too good to be true. No doubt will get withdrawn or blocked but for now it's brilliant. I'm using a dedicated media PC so no security worries, don't even have an email account on it. Much heat from me thanks!

Hope bbciplayer feature gets block, essentially screwing us over by letting the yanks and everyone else watch it for free!

Fine for netflix where everyone is paying the same :P.

Thanks

Brilliant, thanks.

What about all the ex-pats who've paid thousands of pounds in TV licence over the years or those just on holiday or working abroad for a couple of months? Should they not be allowed the opportunity to watch iPlayer? No point being bitter, just let everyone enjoy this.

Excellent! Was looking for an alternative to Hot Spot Shield (which has stopped working for some reason) heat added:D

No I agree fully that UK citizens should be able to view it outside of the UK if they are on holiday of course, however the BBC really needs to implement a system for this instead of letting others scam it, BBC spend money on hosting the content and the foreigners are essentially stealing :P.

Im not generally against most things but I dont see why people should get it for free when we pay, the yanks tv is partially free because of all the damn adverts :P.

All Europe has been watching the BBC for years on satellite it's only us mugs that have to pay for it all. :-(

Reading that it's P2P!!

thanks will give it a try later have some heat as well

people having CRX issues, sign in to your chrome and try installing this extension once you signed in or use incognito mode !

What a rubbish comment !!

In order to lock on the Satellites from many regions of EU you ll need at leat 4M dish and most Authorities will not allow any dish bigger then 3 metres hence you can not lock on the Sats. From my house abroad I needed 5 metre dish which was not approved by the local council for domestic use. When I need it I now use DreamBox makes it all easy.

well this is mint!

loooks good....

This is illegal, I wouldn't risk it.

You serious, not even mentioning Breaking Bad? You should be ashamed of yourself.

Cant believe some of the comments on here lol. Of course the yanks should get bbciplayer free. The thing is so should we. Its just filled with terrible programming anyway like Eastenders, Countryfile etc. Compare that with quality shows that the US puts out like Breaking Bad, Homeland, Boardwalk Empire, American Horror Story, The Walking Dead and the list just goes on. I dont even watch British TV anymore because nobody here has a clue how to make quality except maybe Stephen Moffat's Sherlock. Even then its only 3 episodes at a time compared to the average 13-22 episodes per series in the US. I dont even know why people use iplayer, what the hell are they watching ?
