Don't forget there's buses to the airport from Morpeth etc now, much cheaper than taxis.

Or use the short stay route for free 15 minute drop offs.

Also phoning hays travel usually gets you the best long stay car parking rates. (edited)

In your first example at Villa Maria - the more I read it the more incredulous I was (in a good way):

    ✅ TUI holiday

    ✅ holiday discount £932.26

    ✅ generous baggage allowance

✅ airport transfers to and from hotel included

✅ photo of bedroom with large flat screen TV

What a lot of holiday for the price. Thank you for finding these gems from the often overlooked Newcastle Airport. ✈️ 😃

But is that better than a Google Pix...? Oh, a holiday thread? Great work, don't live far from Newcastle but with a 4 and 1 year old I'm not putting other passengers through the nightmare of being sat next to me

Great thread - some fab deals. Can't take advantage of any due to teaching! (Not going to moan about the holidays!)

But would love to know if you ever see any hot holiday deals! Seem rarer each year!

The government in my eyes should be offering a holiday subsidy to all those teachers and school staff that are forced to holiday during the summer hols. I've a few friends in the exact same boat.

The prices for flights alone from Newcastle are still regularly coming in higher than manchester, best we've managed so far was 1100 from Newcastle each, to 400 for 2 returns from manchester

If you can drive please check the meet and greet parking at manchester was very efficient and I think was only about 120 for 10 days.

For those that don't drive this is awesome

Now if only the holiday companies could contain their excitement about jacking the term time hols lol

Heat for highlighting the best Newcastle deals.

No doubt most will not want self catering and ask for all inclusive which I get as food and drinks prices in most holiday resorts now are expensive (Turkey has gone up massively recently).

Also I'd avoid the likes of loveholidays/onthebeach if possible as they aren't ABTA protected (still owe £m's to customers from COVID).

If theres a few travelling in May/June I'd also recommend looking at cheap flights and villa options with the likes of CV Villas, Solmar, James Villas etc as there are some good villa deals around
  22. scott2c's avatar
Yep not many NCL deals. Best airport in the country, normally leave my house and in the lounge in 30 mins.

Always fly from NCL or GLA now living in Cumbria. Hate Uber busy airports. Just come back from Fuerteventura, grabbed Ryanair flights with priority & luggage for £140pp return, and stayed at Eurostars Las Salinas for 11 nights B&B and paid £702 for the room. Great stay and only 1hr45 drive home.

Even booked New York for Jan flying NCL - LHR - JFK with BA and tbh, it was only £30pp more flying from NCL than flying direct from LHR. Sod the 300 extra mile drive!

Ps another nice airport is Liverpool.
