Don't do it!! stayed at this hotel a few years ago and worst holiday ever. arrived at 1am for most of the guests to be told there was no room and we would stay at their sister hotel in the middle of nowhere. Ant infested and 8 out of the 10 of us Sen Dec up with food poisoning. My son severely poorly!!

Ive been to Samoa hotel about 5 years ago on a similar deal... its not that bad for the money but there is nothing in the area, you can walk it all in 10 minutes, next closest is Cal O'Dor which is nice but a good 20 mins away. Food choice is good and the all inclusive is near all day, even ice creams and slush puppies are part of the all inc. FYI food is sometimes warm at best... my wife did have food poisoning on last day when we was flying.. think it was from a creamy mushroom vol-au-vent not good on the plane!!

Just had an email from Easyjet, clicked on the link and showed a holiday for £90 that wasn't departing from London ( which living in the North is really annoying, as most of the deals are from London airports). Sorry been here and have done this trip over 4 times

We have never paid 10 pounds for entry on a 1 day trip.

Yep

who cares about the visa great deal ....

Entry requirements
Visas

British nationals need a visa to enter Turkey, except for cruise ship passengers with ‘British Citizen’ passports entering the country for a day trip, remaining in the port of embarkation and returning to the ship the same day.

British Citizens can get a multiple entry visitor visa, valid for 90 days, on arrival at any port of entry on payment of £10 in cash (Scottish currency is not accepted). You can also get an e-visa in advance online (if you’re visiting as a tourist or on business) or from the Turkish Consulate in London.

From 10 April 2014, it will not be possible to get a visa on arrival. If you’re arriving in Turkey after that date, you will need to get an e-visa online before you travel. Cruise ship passengers with ‘British Citizen’ passports entering the country for a day trip, remaining in the port of embarkation and returning to the ship the same day will continue to be able to enter Turkey without a visa or e-visa.

Some unauthorised websites may charge for information about e-visas, and for submitting applications. These websites are not endorsed by or associated with the Turkish government. Be wary of such sites and businesses, particularly those that seek additional fees for other services.

If you hold a different type of British nationality (BN(O), British Overseas Citizen, British Protected Person or British Subject), check visa requirements with the Turkish Embassy before you travel.

Make sure your passport has a blank page for the visa stamp. If it does not, the Turkish authorities will issue an ‘Entry-Exit form’ and put your entry-exit stamp on there. You should carry this form with you in Turkey and present it to the border officers when you leave.

Turkish visit visas issued on arrival are valid for multiple stays up to a maximum of 90 days in a 180 day period. Up to 31 January 2012, the Turkish immigration authorities operated a flexible interpretation of this requirement whereby visitors could leave after 90 days, and immediately re-enter for a further 90 day period. The rules are now fully enforced, and you will only be able to stay in Turkey for a total of 90 days in any period of 180 days.

If you plan to remain in Turkey for a period of more than 90 days, you should either apply for a longer stay visa before you travel, or get a residence permit from the local authorities in Turkey before your 90 day stay has elapsed. If you exceed the 90 day limit, you may be fined, deported and banned from re-entering the country.

If you are entering Turkey via the Bulgarian border crossing, make sure your passport has a dated entry stamp before you leave the border crossing area. Some British nationals have got a visa but not had their passport stamped. In some cases, this has resulted in detention and deportation for illegal entry.

Working illegally without the correct visa and work permit could result in deportation from Turkey, a fine and a ban on re-entering. You may be held in a detention centre awaiting deportation and are unlikely to be able to collect your belongings before departure.

Passport validity

Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of entry into Turkey and have at least 3 months validity from the date you are leaving Turkey.

Travelling with children

If you are leaving Turkey with a child who is a dual British-Turkish national, you may be asked to show the Turkish immigration authorities evidence that the Turkish parent has given permission for the child to travel.

yes i looked at Norweigan, trouble is, they are not ATOL protected so its a bit risky going with them as norweigan rules apply, probably meaning if they pull out of their base at gatwick or change the flights etc it will be a huge problem to resolve, its an option, but i would prefer to go with easyjet, after all £214 for a holiday end of june is a pretty good price!

P.S worth noting always click your airport under the "From your local airport" section from there homepage. Here you will find a selection of holidays which are cheaper than actually going through there standard holiday search page. On the deals page from your own airport even if it says only SC for example always click through till next page and there can be at times more board and room offers which are cheaper that there own search. Two months ago booked a holiday this way for £650...on another tab priced the holiday through there standard search function and it came up £178 more expensive! https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-bE39MthXiag/Ui3_D1PvAoI/AAAAAAAABgo/xJn7UEFF9XM/s720/Capture22.JPG

Once stayed in Sa Coma which merges in to S'Illot a number of years ago, was ok wouldnt rave about it, but a couple of years a go stayed in Pollenca which was very nice, and went to visit Sa Coma out of interest, and was a complete Ghost town, not much going on and quite frankly not that nice.

You will need to book transfers as its a long way from the airport ( 65 miles) . A taxi will cost a LOT of money.

Don't expect brilliant weather in mid May either. I went in June and the weather wasn't great.
Tossa is very scenic but most of the resort restaurants are very expensive and the nightlife is non existant. So all-inclusive is probably the best way to go.

Transfers could be costly!

I have never bothered with an agents coach transfer in my life. All that waiting around and travelling all over the place befor you eventually get to your hotel. No thank you. Transfers are £30 per booking so cheap enough anyway, but I always get a taxi. It's great to be by the pool and unpacked whilst everyone else on your flight turns up all hot and sweaty and knackered. You can always find another couple to share the cab too so works out cheaper than coach transfers

Took us around an hour in the car to get to Albufeira. Its around 46km from Faro airport..

i hope no one ever stays with bayside salgados. recently come back from there, the hotel is not 800 metres from the beach at all, and theres absolutely nothing nearby! Also, would like to point out its actually in a town called Galé which is about 15 mins drive from albufiera!
