Absolute junk. These guys trade on the back of consumer ignorance about extracts and raw material quality.

A buddy of mine did his post-grad research on their supplements. Scandalous, and of course, they get away with it because that level of insight (ie. testing efficacy of content quality/stated claim) is way above the pay-grade of the Trading Standards form fillers.

The whole supplements industry is a sham for the most part, but these guys are the Twinkie peddlers.

Much like supermarkets then... and for that matter, most retailers profit by consumer ignorance. Life's tough, ain't it?

I agree there's a lot of useless vitamins on the market, for example those that aren't absorbed and pass straight through the system - but that does not mean the entire vitamin and supplement industry is a scam run by profiteering organisations, any more than the legit pharmaceutical industry, the drug barons.

Anyway, I've just treated myself to 500g of Marigold Vegetable Bouillon, a bottle of Potters Vegetable Cough Remover (for standby) and some Vitamin C & zinc. All of which I use and know work for me, and have been meaning to buy. I've saved about a fiver on supermarket prices, even after paying £1.99 postage. Then 10% from TCB too, so I'm not complaining at all.

Incidentally, one thing H&B don't make exactly clear is that their Buy One Get One Half Price is FULLY mix and match - when I had the Bouillon in my basket and added the Potters, both about same price, the Potters added at half price. I guess that whatever you buy the lower priced of 2 items in basket is 50% off.

Thanks OP, nice one
