Good price for physical game, fair bit of stock available at various locations. CEX offer £19 cash or £22 voucher currently so not much to lose if you don't like it. Thanks @craigbob .
Metacritic 90%.
Forge your own path in Hollow Knight!
An epic action adventure through a vast ruined kingdom of insects and heroes. Explore twisting caverns, battle tainted creatures and befriend bizarre bugs, all in a classic, hand-drawn 2D style.

Classic side-scrolling action, with all the modern trimmings. Dodge, dash and slash your way through even the most deadly adversaries.
Includes all of the new items, areas, characters, and bosses from the currently released free content packs; Hidden Dreams, The Grimm Troupe, and Lifeblood. All players will also get access to the final free content pack, Gods and Glory, due later this year!
Explore a vast interconnected world of forgotten highways, overgrown wilds and ruined cities. Choose which paths you take, which enemies you face and find your own way forward.
Evolve with powerful new skills and abilities! Gain spells, strength and speed. Leap to new heights on ethereal wings. Dash forward in a blazing flash. Blast foes with fiery Soul!
A haunting, intimate score accompanies the player on their journey, composed by Christopher Larkin. The score echoes the majesty and sadness of a civilisation brought to ruin.

I got it for under £8 recently on estore sale
Thank you op 👌🏾
I’ll probably get around to playing this after I’m done with Fire Emblem!
Thanks op been waiting for this
Excellent if you want physical edition but as others have pointed out, you can get it cheaper on the eshop. Having said that 20 quid for this is still a bargain; what a game.
man, i absolutely loved the game, played the hell out of it and would just buy it physical just to stare at the packaging
Played through it on the PS4 relatively recently and absolutely loved it - it's such a beautiful game from the artwork to the music. I'm sure the difficulty will put off a lot of people but it's worth overcoming.

Almost tempted to buy it again for the Switch for the commute.
Is this the version where the fourth dlc accidentally wasn’t included on card and had to be downloaded?

Yes.
God I hate this game - sorry not completely accurate. I’m playing at the minute - every time I get to a point where I’m ready to give up I juuuuuuust get done what was ailing me and then play on.

Never played a game that brings me so much despair so much

Heh, that make much more sense - the well-judged difficulty is of course just one aspect of what makes the game so superb... though, I'd encourage people to know their limits, as there are a few non-essential areas/challenges that get extremely difficult.

One of my students recommended it to me before the summer hols - they will suitably punished for ruining my summer
Havent got my claws into this properly but its a charming little game. I think I paid around a fiver for it in a recent eShop sale, Though this is a great deal for physical!

In terms of the game experience, Hollow Knight is anything but "little"
I bought this for about £7 in the eShop sale early in the year. I just can’t get into it sadly. Not sure why it’s not clicking with me, I’m usually a fan of Metroidvania style games. Does it take a couple of hours to click? Never felt like I knew which direction I should be going?

There are a few people for whom the game doesn't immediately grab them; I'd implore you to give it a little more time , as it sounds like you can only have played for an hour or so? Exploration is a key part of the game, but you will get to know the key areas before too long.

Sadly for me, I’m almost certain that the boss I gave up at is part of the main game
Such a wonderfully crafted game, shame I’m not good enough! I was a fair way in, mind.

I actually clicked on this because I couldn’t understand why it’s a deal, but if you’re all about physical releases, it’s well worth this price! (The Breath of the Wild gamecard has never left my Switch. Except when I took it out to lick it.)

PS I don’t think it’s much of a secret, but I just picked up Ori and the Blind Forest from GOG, and it’s wonderful. Not as good as Hollow Knight, but up there and absolutely beautiful.

Hmm, was a loonng time ago so I may be making half of this up.
Somewhere in the top right of the map. I feel like it was quite a stout bug, and had something militaristic in its name. Ran from side to side across a flat screen. Magically appeared from above and destroyed me every time.

I knew it would be (in the soul sanctum). Took me aaaaages - then I beat him and found out the hard way it was a two part fight
I've been playing since I got home at 12 after rushing to town to pick it up and I am addicted :D! Quite challenging but really fun to learn on how I can improve! I cant put it down. Deffo one of the best platformers I have played in forever

It really really does. Sorry.
Buy the map/s.
The grub King top left of first main section will give you items the more grubs you save.
The map is broken up into sections.
Once you get the stations open, it all starts to come together.
The more abilities you accrue, the more areas you'll be able to reach (I know that sounds basic, but the Metroidvania principle really does apply).
I slogged for 3 hours before the game came to life.
I urge you not to give up, it is fantastic but in the beginning, it does feel really aimless.
thanks OP this is a steal
