Not played for a while and my Switch isn't nearby but from memory In pretty sure you earn achievements on the Switch version.

Actually, he's a list: switchachievements.org/hol…ht/

Ahhh I see, they are called quests not proper achievements.
Fantastic game. Music and atmosphere are second to none. However, be aware I've heard the carts are missing the Godmaster DLC.

It's not a native system that connects to your profile or anything, it's simply a site you can use to note down the in-game achievements you've done. Still quite useful for completionists
bit pricey for barebones switch edition. Was a fiver for download not long ago, probably will be again during a summer sale or w/e

Not a game I could get into (sadly). Certainly no Axiom Verge.
Such a good game.

Easy Top 10 for this generation.

Your statement is wrong. This will include all the dlc as per the digital version.

Same. Found it a bit empty and dull.

Probably give it another go at some point.

I actually feel kinda liberated on Switch without Achievements. They add some FOMO/psychological pressure which forces me to play more than I want to. On Switch I know that I'm playing because I'm having fun. That said, some games do have Achievements on Switch too, built into the title itself, like Dead Cells, but because they don't display on an account page or anything there is no pressure.

Was it really that low for Switch? It's back up to 27.85 for me

Yeah I think achievements have spoilt me really, I would pick a game on the Xbox over the switch version purely on that basis. Awful really

Nope, it was always 27.85 on Switch, unfortunately.
Lol 5 quid game...

While it wasn't my cup of tea...wtf "£5 game"?

Sometimes I just sit on the bench at the save points for ages and enjoy the music. The soundtrack is incredible.

I used to feel the same (that I missed trophies/achievements on the Switch), but I actually think the time played is a really interesting metric/badge of honour in its own right.

What I meant was a bare bones boxed edition, as in the game and the FREE dlc. Almost 30 quid would be a good price for the game and all those physical extras.

I hope that they mean cos it's regularly a fiver on PSN - otherwise they're being silly.
Couple of quid on other platforms

Just that its been cheap plenty. I bought the voidheart edition on switch for about that ages ago.

It's also on gamepass

I do prefer physical but when its 4 or 5 x more it doesn't make much sense.
This is free on gamepass...
Nintendo are so far behind sony and microsoft unfortunately
Im sick of having to pay extra for a poorer version of the game, just because you can play it handheld. Having the ability to play Nintendo versions docked and undocked is the consoles job. It shouldn't be factored into pricing the games just because you have that 'luxury' of play anywhere. That's why you bought the console ffs.

Far behind on what? Selling games for nothing because nobody wants them?
Apps, graphic, third Party support and so much morr

Axiom Verge is a lot smaller with instant gratification; abilities and weapons are introduced quickly.
Whereas Hollow Knight takes an age to get going, but once you've picked up a few abilities, it really does take off in a way that Axiom Verge doesn't.

I recently restarted Hollow Knight with my son and I'd forgotten how much of a drag walking everywhere can be.
I can't pretend to have dug too deep into Hollow Knight, point out as you have it's a real SLOW burn. However. Having played plenty Axiom Verge I would be very, very surprised if Hollow Knight felt quite the masterpiece upon completion.

Think this is the main reason what has stopped me getting a switch

The pricing is due to media production costs, blu-ray and cartridges have different costs in its manufacturing.
