Eeee them were the days indeed....Gungum paste, Gungum bandage, old tin can, wire coat hanger, proper sort it out yerself non of this buying a whole new system. Woolworths ,remember them?, use to sell stick on rubber soles for shoes, get a hole fix it not bin 'em then go to Primark for another pair, now we are bringing in laws like America so the items we buy can be repaired not junked for lack of parts......don't suppose they will be super cheap if it means they can't sell you a new washing machine/fridge/TV every few years......

Ha ha, discontinued online - that's cos kids these day's have never experienced trying to repair their old banger of a mini's exhaust back together with this stuff!

I was quoted by kwik fit that I needed a new middle section, catalytic converter and rear section. When I had a look underneath it’s leaking from the gasket that joins the 2 sections. Hoping this works, as probably used it last in the 90s

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it
Remember my Dad using a tin can to cover the hole in his back box using a tin of GunGum and maybe a bandage (seem to remember a bowl of water also!), 3 years later and also 3 MOTs, then he sold the car and would have repeated the process in a heartbeat if the need arose. The repair probably gave a more substantial and lasting job than the orig.
A quick look up on trust pilot about kwapfit should be compulsory reading for all prior to visiting one of their establishments and dealing with their professional and well trainad staff.....
Always thought this was called gum gum.
I thought this was hair gel 🙈
Thanks OP. Wilco never has these bargains when I look, but a bargain if you can get it. Onced opened you might as well use it all up as it goes rock solid in storage.

Jumpers for goalposts?
Brings back memory's of all that time I spent under my old S2 Escort RS Turbo applying this to the exhaust.

Brilliant stuff

It's not, it dries to hard and cracks so your back to square one. Bet off using high temp silicone for exhausts
this stuff is not that great, the bandage they sell with wire (you wet the bandage then it kind of sets like plaster of paris) is much more effective for a long-lasting repair.

Kwik fit are crooks. Go in with a flat tyre and they will scare you into having a sunroof installed on your car.

Bet the exhaust was still less rusty than the bodywork

Not at all. Bodywork was in great condition. Well looked after. Loved that car.
Went into Wilco today and as expected not a sign of any Gun Gum paste.

But chicken wire is meant to have holes
