But I'm not feeding on any fears. We are stuck at home. I myself am working from home with little access to the shops or gym or whatever else. Why should everything be doom and gloom?

I'm trying to lighten the mood a bit on this website by not spreading fears or misinformation.

I still have to find deals, and there is an eBay code on. It is my job.

I'm not ashamed of writing a bit of fluff. We both know no one will actually buy it, and it is entertaining to some people. Not you clearly. Don't bother reading or posting on my threads if you don't like them. This site has many, many deals posted which you may prefer.

40kg is enough until the gyms are back.
What could possibly go wrong with a home gym made by "Homcom"? I think there are enough risks in my life currently without this adding to it!

Probably better off with a cross trainer?

better off buying a multi angle bench and a set of DB`s. Will work out way cheaper too

Has a curfew been announced?

Not officially, no. I'm just reading between the lines and realising the government want us to contact as few people as possible to prevent spreading the virus. Do what you want, I'm not suggesting you shouldn't do as you please.
You can use bodyweight excercises to replace nearly every gym exercise, plus you'll get better at manipulating your own bodyweight. A limiting home gym with only 40kg which turns into a £185 clothes hanger in two weeks is not the way to go.

Well I for one thought it was very amusing.

Good timing too, I have a bench and pull up bar I'm drying my old bike leathers on.
This'll come in handy for my next washing load 🏻

@Akira_Cat you’ve done nothing wrong..
Ignore the haters OP - they are the reason government will soon announce you cannot go out without good reason - I mean anyone with half a brain can see what’s already happened in mainland Europe but I guess some are a little slow to recognise it.

My gym is closed,

Nice deal

Sorry for all the negative noddies,

If you don't like the deal you do not have to be a poo poo head about it.
Anyone going to the gym should be having a word with themselves. We all have a responsibility to act in accordance with Government and WHO advice. What is being proven is that despite people bleating about Nanny State, the only way we can deal with this pandemic is through compulsory lock-down.

Really? Is this facebook jury? Cos WHO jury, Chinese jury, Singapore jury, S.Korea jury, Italian jury, Spanish jury, French jury etcetc seem pretty unanimous to me... But then, in recent years the vulnerable have always been expendable in this country

Do calm yourself... nothing like a good over reaction is there!

I don't have facebook, have plenty of elderly relatives to worry about though.

At this point distancing and lock down is right but we simply don't know how it's all going to pan out... health, social and economic wise until vaccine and/or treatment is available.

Everything we're doing is based on modelling and best educated guess.

By using the terminology "Jury's out" you are suggesting that the information might not be correct. The guidance is quite clear, it is based upon peer-reviewed medical publications which have been available to the public since mid-January and further journals/papers/findings continue to be published by medical experts from across the globe. Please don't help to disseminate fake advice on this guidance or water it down. To reiterate, Gov.uk states that you should avoid large gatherings, or smaller public gatherings (examples given as restaurants, pubs etc). If you are using a public gym, you are not following this advice and your actions will contribute to the continued spread of this virus, and the continued issues this country faces. That is not an over-reaction, it is simple science.
This looks like a difficult shape to pick up and put down

A simple fact remains that we do not know how this is going to pan out on many fronts. The science is based on educated guess and modelling not hard proven facts... hence it's an unknown.

Anyway, when did I say don't follow the advice!?
You seem to be reading between the lines drawing your own wrong conclusions.

Anyway, I'm done with this conversation.
I wish you all the best... stay safe.

The OP is just speaking the truth and saying what it is like currently. Sorry if the truth hurts. I don't see anything wrong with this post and feel like you're wrong to call them out with crazy accusations
