good buy as you get 20 glue sticks for £1.29 these are £20 in craft shops

They've been this price for ages, not great quality but they look OK for the odd bit of present wrapping/craft type application. Voted hot. For info IIRC these use 7mm sticks and they sell packs of those on their own too; I can't remember how much but £2 for 10 seems to ring a bell.

Yer second 12mm glue sticks. I bought a load of them on eBay and this has been very useful when I remember I have it. Ideal for toys and odd car work etc as well, its a strong/ish glue, which is fast and easy to apply, very little mess because it peels off. Hot deal if you ask me for a great little glue gun, have used mine about 10 times and it still doing the job. Only little issue if I were to pick one is the little rubber heat protector came off and I had to take it all apart, may have been me I dont know.

not to be sniffed at at that price

Hot, literally. Thanks OP

got one of these for £2 last year, got half a stick out of it before it crapped out and took the whole floors breakers with it. got blocked up too so couldn't even get the gluestick out.

cold 'cus mine was.

I wouldn't waste your money, your getting what you pay for. I've had one and it worked for about 30 seconds if that then it wouldn't feed the glue through and like mentioned above the rubber end cap came off it. If your after a glue gun then don't buy this one from experience.

Ideal for sniffing and then pretending to shoot things!

I got mine from Aldi and it came in a plastic case. Had it for years.
You can also buy colored glue sticks.

I'm intrigued that the op would use a hot glue gun for present wrapping!

I have seen these cheaper but £3 isn't bad - like others I always forget I have mine, mostly use it to seal components and wiring.

£4 on ebay(uk) if you don't have a shop near by.

£1.48 from ebay china if you can change a plug and wait a few weeks
