Move the bed for what?
Hoover of course
Thought so, but I wouldn't bother. Use a hairdryer.
But that would be minging lol
Depends on what has been accumulating underneath for a while
Shark do a part that goes under xx
When you hoover, do you move the bed from side to side or front to back?
Move the bed now that’s a good idea, will experiment one day lol

Brilliant! Well done. Hope you are able to find any boxes near you. What a nice way to make the hedgehogs comfortable and safe.
I have nightly hog visitors but also foxes who usually hoover up the food before the hogs. I tried a hog dome but the fox dug under! So this is a last attempt haha. I bought some different boxes from a similar asda deal, just need to get some heavy bricks to go on top as the fox would flip it (probably with a hog inside knowing my luck!)
Yes,foxes are not stupid, they fight to survive. I don't blame them. Hated by many humans. But true, it's well worth it to protect the hedgehogs. Also maybe turning the box upside down with the lid in the ground? Maybe that won't work, either. But another box on top filled with something heavy would do the trick? And a third one heavy on top, too? Just an idea.
I had a 7kg tub of hot tub chemicals ontop of my hedgehog feeder dome, and the fox managed to upend that and spill the chemical powder everywhere. They're bloody strong. Need to get some bricks or paving slabs to put ontop. Afraid I am one of those people who don't like foxes, they are a real nuisance and people shouldn't encourage them by feeding them. Hogs on the other hand are very useful garden creatures and on a sharp decline. Have had 3 visit all at the same time this summer.
In that case, if there is some building works near you going on, I am sure the builders will part with some bricks at no charge if you explain the situation. Many people are really nice and would help. Or a box filled with beach sand/pebbles on top of hedgehog box?
Indeed, I googled after commenting on your post. Relieved to see so many options available to help the hogs survive. The decline in their numbers is shocking - I think more publicity should be given to highlight the alarming decline in numbers of many of our other native species too.
Unfortunately, I do not have a garden, otherwise I would join good people like yourself in helping to support our wildlife.
