Homebase Discounts Beyond Published Clearance e.g. Saxon Hand Trolley and Sack Trolley £10

Found 26th Dec 2017
It is worth looking beyond the Clearance section on the Homebase website as it appears there is a steady stream of product having its prices lowered. Today in Homebase Brentford I bought a Saxon Folding Hand Trolley for £10 (it showed up as £10 in the Homebase website in the normal non-clearance section). The price on the shelf was £25.65 so it was reduced by over £15. There were two trolleys on the shelf when I left. The hand truck version of this Saxon product (non folding) was also reduced to £10.
This applies to all Homebase stores. Although the product shows up on the website it is only available for collection in store.
It is worth checking the prices of a group of similar products from different manufactures on your smartphone before buying one as there are a lot of lowered prices in the store, though not necessarily marked down in store they show up at the till matching the website. The cashier emphasized that Homebase is not having sale, it is reducing prices and that the best way to find them was to watch the website.
I assume that this is all sourcing from the takeover of Homebase by the giant Antepodean home/garden/building warehouse Bunnings which is headquartered in Australia. Some of Bunnings Ozito (I am reading that as Ozzie-Too, or Australian as well though I could be wrong) product range have been appearing in Homebase branches in the pst months though with prices that are direct exchange-rate conversion from Australian to English currency prices.

Good info, thanks for posting
Just got one from Truro.
Thanks OP, got one today but had a moment where I almost bought the stair climber version but I've nowhere to store that. This was at the Harrow Weald store.

Apologies for sideways images, seems to rotate them when uploaded for me.

There are still some of these Saxon folding trolleys in store, they ARE quite neat, think it said max load 80kg, the cast aluminium base looked(and felt) a bit weedy to me IMHO..
For occasional use, reckon you can't go wrong, and as I said, would no take up too much room in storage..
