Seems cheap for a metal shelving, no? And up to 200kg. Anyone got these and can comment? Purchased the cheap plastic Argos ones on deal last week. Not that good, shelves bending already and theres not a lot on them! WIll buy metal in the future but these seem cheap. Too cheap??

If they are the same as they had a few months back, they are very poor. I bought six shelves, two are still in the boxes as it's not worth putting them together. You need to make sure these are firmly fixed to a wall or something as they have no stability and very little structural rigidity, even when bolted up tight. Avoid!

I got these last time - actually really like them - uesd in the cellar to add extra storage - seem to take the weight ok albeit the shelves are rather flimsy looking and dent quite easily - I actually lined mine with 6mm mdf sheets cut to fit the shelf to add extra support and strength and should only cost you a pittance extra to do this. Definitely worth doing if you buy these and reckon it probably doubles the weight capacity

Tho would add they talke a while to construct - so many bolts...

I went into store to check these out last time they were on offer.....
Display model very flimsy.
Think it would benefit from some cross supports to give it a bit more stability.
I didn't bother getting any last time, and won't be bothering this time either.

Similar price to ikea ones but the ikea ones seem to be much sturdier.

Got these last time they were on offer. Wouldn't recommend them - cheap flimsy crap.

Cleaners at work have one of these in their cupboard I fixed it to the wall using 2 wall mounts for pipes.
Made it a bit better but they still dont have heavy stuff on it.

Bought 1 last time - I think was about £7. Not worth any more. The only thing stopping ours from falling apart is the sheer weight on it!

Plus it's a pain to put together

Forgot about that part - they were a bloody disaster to put together!

I'd recommend buying something decent for a bit more - have Von Haus heavy duty shelving elsewhere in the garage and it's top notch.

Maybe you haven't put them together correctly. I have 4 from when they were put on here ages ago at about £7 each and another waiting to go up in the garage and they are perfectly stable... No need to bolt them to the wall either and mine are stacked full with heavy items eg Jack's, Axel stands, calipers, cylinder head etc

But they are a pain to put together with all the screws and nuts...

Same here, I have a huge amount of weight on mine with garage stuff.

Very low rigidity, they wobble a lot. They can take 200kg applied straight down but I think if they got a good knock on the side it would make it fail.

Not bad for a tenner but I do prefer the plastic £20 shelves unless I really need the 200kg capacity (I never have).

Thanks for all the comments. Perhaps will give them a miss.

the quality of these shelves is questionable, but at the price it's a hot deal
