I bought this a few weeks ago when it was listed on HUKD for 33quid. Not a bad deal. Haters gonna hate but a haircut is a tenner so a full garden for 31 quid is a bargain!

I love this lawn mover, it's the best investment for under 40 quid...

This is exactly the deal I need but unfortunately I also need amazon global.

Not bad OP 35.94 Delivered , With Topcashback and nectar points also
Was going to get a new blade for mine but for the price and warranty I've gone for this. Only have a small amount of grass to cut.

ta op i have a very small lawn is this easy to use and any pitfalls?

Easy to assemble and worked fine. Only bother I had was that the chute to the grass box got clogged easily with slightly damp grass. Other than than it's great for price.

wonder how easy it is to get replacement blades for it since its a rebranded homebase mower and not made by Qualcast

Ive got a large rear garden and use a petrol mower but its too heavy when the ground is damp.
How does the mower know your garden is small if you empty the grass box?

Looks exactly The same as my Bosch one.

now gone upto 39.99 have I missed something?

Great deal and I already have another model. Just remember they are B&Q lawnmowers (probably made abroad)badged with the famous Qualcast name. B&Q and Argos pay Qualcast to use their name on these cheaper lawnmowers. Hence if you read the small print you will see that all warranty and repairs are through B&Q and not Qualcast. They have done a similar deal with Spear & Jackson for other items they sell. Not a real issue but an oldie like me remembers these famous UK manufacturers.

Great just ordered one... Homebase 20% offer today too

I've got this lawnmower and its terrible. Much better off sticking with Flymo and paying more.

ordered thanks old one broke last week!!

Not bad. I guess the main question is: does it have a series wound motor? That is the main feature of a real Busch one, and it does make a big difference.

Old man looking for a cheap mower
Ordered cheers

Qualcast were taken over by Bosch several years ago , this could explain why the mowers look the same.

Bought this last week when offer was £33 and I have a medium sized garden and it done the trick both front and back so I cant complain. I wanted it to cut my grass and it did that job hassle free! Heat added.

Ordered. thank you

but these are made by homebase and argos and they just licence the qualcast name

Also bought it the other week at £33 so this is a bargain used it yesterday great wee mower

Crazy good deal, this. I also bought a few weeks ago and am really happy – seems to be well designed and built. It is better than another budget one I got a few years ago for more money (although I shouldn’t really complain about that one because I did abuse it. I tended to place it on medium sized plants which I had concluded were weeds, and then tried to shred them with the mower. I’ve not read the instructions on these, but I imagine they are not intended for this!).

I also disintegrated a dead hedgehog with one. MaybeI misuse machinery a little. Actually, I definitely do – I recall I once hovered up a cat turd! It was reasonably dry though, so I thought this was a reasonable thing to do.

Bought 2 weeks ago. Great little lawn mower, easy to adjust cutting height, nice to have a metal blade rather than plastic ones that snap. Only negative is it doesn't pick up as much grass as my previous mow and vac but this cuts better and is much easier to use.

Got what looks like the same machine from Argos for £44.95 and thought that was good deal - this is cracking!
I bought it for my Mum's medium size garden when her old machine died (similar model but cost twice as much nearly 10 years ago!). It goes together easily and I did a test run on our much bigger garden which is on three different levels. I was impressed. It cut as well and as quickly as our petrol mower and was very light to move from one level to another. At the price you can't really go wrong!

It is slightly fiddly but if you follow the picture instructions and fit and click the two back clips first the rest follows pretty easily, I found.

Bought this morning for £31.99, Assembly ok little bit of force to clip the cuttings basket together.
Tried it out on a damp lawn. (My old petrol mower would have destroyed my lawn).
Very Very happy with the results. easy to use, light small storage space required.
Hopefully there is a picture below to show my results.
Would highly recommend this mower.

got one today in Acton, last of 2 left still on display. looks perfectly good and pleased with 2 year guarantee. excellent

Bought a Qualcast strimmer last year from Honebase. It was S**t. line kept on jamming and tangling. Then found out it wasn't really a Qualcast, just licensed by Argos group. loads of complaints and bad reviews was enough to get me refund and buy a better strimmer. Qualcast from Homebase or Argos is misleading.

My haircut is only a fiver.

For this reason i'm out.

misleading as in strimmer review on a lawnmower advert?

Guess it's to explain that qualcast isn't the brand people will think it is but is now a homebase argos own brand mower

My mower is a hand me down, its a Flymo Ventura Turbo 350 from 2003. I abuse the hell out of it and its still going. I have a medium size garden 35' x 100', I shear all the bushes and use my mower to chop and collect all the branches. Plough through lots of frogs bits go everywhere, a mole, mice it just keeps going. Sometimes it smells of electrical burning if vents get blocked in summer, or the grass is overgrown\damp and the motor has to work to shove it through. The metal handles where breaking through metal fatigue so gaffa tape now supports those but I'm not replacing until it dies. They don't seem to make them like they used too!
