*Also Homefront: Resist Edition (Steelbook) £14.99*

The year is 2027. The world as we know it is unraveling after fifteen years of economic meltdown and widespread global conflict over dwindling natural resources.

A once proud America has fallen, her infrastructure shattered and military in disarray. Crippled by a devastating EMP strike, the USA is powerless to resist the ever expanding occupation of a savage, nuclear armed Greater Korean Republic.

Abandoned by her former allies, the United States is a bleak landscape of walled towns and abandoned suburbs. This is a police state where high school stadiums have become detention centers, and shopping malls shelter armored attack vehicles. A once-free people are now prisoners... or collaborators... or revolutionaries.

Join the Resistance, stand united and fight for freedom against an overwhelming military force in Homefront's gripping single player campaign penned by John Milius (Apocalypse Now, Red Dawn). Stand alongside a cast of memorable characters as an emotional plot unfolds in this terrifyingly plausible near-future world. Experience visceral, cinematic first-person shooter action as you fight your way across Occupied USA using guerrilla tactics, and commandeer military vehicles and advanced drone technology to defeat the enemy.

Multiplayer brings epic warfare to the online arena as infantry, tanks, attack helicopters and combat drones battle across huge, open battlefields. A rich feature set offering layers of tactical depth combined with a game-changing innovation in the multiplayer space will set a new benchmark in online warfare.

I know it's not terribly well-regarded, but I think I'll bite at this price. Cheers

They're also selling the PC steelbook for the same price, which while not as good as the console deals, is still the best price after Game put their's back up.

Yeah I think ill have a punt at it for this price, thanks op

this is a fantastic price for a brand new copy with the online code obviously unused.

Ordered thanks

If not looking to use online, cex take this for £15 cash with the code unused.

shame about the developer.

Good price now, got it when it come out but online never worked so i sold it......... tempted at this price mind

I just might buy this again at this price

Rented this and finished it in 5-6 hours,

Ill take that advice - thanks

Its probably the cheapest this game has been but its the worst FPS I have had the misfortune to pay full price for. I wouldn't even buy this game if it was £4.99

Is the full game online not as good as the demo? I'm really liking the demo.

No 'coz I can read.

I like the idea of this game but im still playing far too much COD!

There is a reason the devs were all fired today...

The game is crap.

Online's not half as bad as people make it out to be. Single player was pretty pap, though I'd say it was better than Duke Nukem ( )

terrible game bland standard fps boring multiplayer zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

multiplayer was broke om relezse how it got through the net after the testers of the game plahed it i hav not got a clue.

As soon as i earned expert of war achievo that was it for me ...and my stats reset!

They only accept sealed copies. Anyone could walk in and say the online code hadn't been used.

It's very simple. Games testers, who are paid peanuts to mind numbingly play small parts of a game over and over, are hated by the developers. Anyone who has worked as a tester for a medium/large sized developer knows just how much the developers/programmers resent their work being criticised by the testers. I realise this sounds downright stupid on the part of the developers/programmers, but it's the way it is unfortunately for many of these companies, especially ones where the publishers put pressure on the devs to make a specific deadline. Some developers/programmers are just arrogant knobs who can't take criticism either.

Pretty much this. It's not always the case of course that testers are hated in any particular dev house (although usually external QA gets pretty short shrift all round). But still, it's not necessarily that problems weren't found and logged; it's just as likely they *were* found and then either dismissed by the coder responsible or glossed over as not being A1 critical "must fix before we ship" bugs by the producers. Failure is a team effort.

I played the private beta that was invite only and the graphics in January were terrible and the online did play lag free, the tests were only two hours at a time on a given date so very little time outside of internal testing was given. I have played the demo and it is like bad company just not as good but just as much fun with the drones to fly about with.

Now that studio has been fired I'm expecting the price on this to drop even further.

I really enjoyed this game!

I have this on the PC, isnt as good as Battlefield or COD but worth £15

hated this when it first came out
online was a mess with lag.

now it has dedicated servers i sold black ops and battlefield and i must say im loving homefront online

good, its getting cheaper.

im only interested in the campaigns anyway - all online mp sucks, except co-op.

so when its down to half this, then ill bite.

worst game ever.

Daytrader

worst game ever.

an average 7/10 game is the worst game ever in your view???

if you had to split the FPS genre in half on the PS3 this would STILL be in the top half at worst... Don't ever forget that these have tarnished the console... blacksite area 51, conflict denied ops, turning point fall of liberty, medal of honor airborne, turok, sniper ghost warrier, rogue warrior, aliens vs predator, wolfenstein, timeshift, soldier of fortune, battle pacific, jericho, shellshock 2, etc.... is that enough for you???

Eurogamer's face off seems to slightly favour the PS3 version because of the increased amount of screen tearing on the 360 version.

Nothing much in it though.

eurogamer.net/art…off

single player is terrible

multiplayer is really good. be aware however peopleare randomly having there rank reset. i got to rank 50 for the achievment yesterday. when got to rank 52 i quit a game due to lag and was back as rank 1

Gone up to £27.99 (still £14.99 on amazon)
