Maybe it's a childs t-shirt,doesn't say in the OP.

Original Poster

Its an adults.

Its only £1 because they forgot to print Homer's head!

But of course you will bear moral responsibility for garment workers crushed in collapsing buildings in Bangladesh.

Beetplek

Its an adults.

The child's version has Bart's body.

I'm pretty sure the ones showing the snobbery are not kitted out in Boss ! Heat

Jezza Kyle all over.

this constitutes as fun these days?

These sort of comments are normally reserved for computer components, smart phones and cameras, not £1 tee shirts. I don't think that the garment is meant for wearing to high society event! As for the moral issue, why would this apply to a poundland tee shirt and not to high end trainers.

I may wear one now, out of principle. Have some heat!

Doh!

A t-shirt for £1 bargain, might get a few good for around the house and the garden !!!

Yes i agree....as i am a slob i wear t shirts around the house...then wear them to go out..then sleep in them etc etc. But i will let you know, i have a bath once a week whether i need one or not!

For the people that are unemployed in this country which is a lot £ for a t-shirt is about right.http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view3/1695661/homer-middle-finger-o.gif

You'd have to be pretty jaundiced to carry this off without looking completely stupid which does carry a certain irony.

But it's a t-shirt and it's a quid and the name of the game is deals.

This kind of admonition really is completely ineffective, as of course it should be. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and to voice it.

Entitled to there opinion and voice within reason. Freedom of speech dosent mean you can just say whatever you like even if it offends others. Couldnt he/she just have said Its personally not for me instead of ''Really would anyone wear this!!!!!!!!''

You are actually wrong about that. Offensive speech is not banned in a general way. There are of course civil sanctions for slander or libel, and some speech, such as racist rants or exhortation to criminal acts, can be crimes. But merely offending you is not a crime or tort. It may even be a duty.

I was talking on moral grounds. If you want to offend others thats your problem.

Like I say, one has a duty to unsettle some people. A moral duty. But it wasn't me who issued the, rather innocuous, opinion (about fashion for Pete's sake) which you found so offensive. I was remonstrating with you over your attempt to silence someone in a public forum, and on a subject on which you felt entitled to speak, and even to offend, by calling them childish. It doesn't work, and you are the person who ends up looking foolish.

Umm aren't we all cheapskates, isn't that kinda the point of being on here?

I'm too cheap to spend a pound on a t-shirt. There used to be a charity shop nearby that had a cellar full of clothes for 25 pence per item, and I stocked up. They have gone upmarket now, and I don't shop there any more, but I have enough shirts and sweaters to last me years. My best buy was a wool suit, for 25 pence, and when I got it home I discovered a twenty pence piece in the pocket.

I would like to find this! Even if you are a bit snobby it`s fine for wearing around the house e.t.c.

Hot.
