Yeah like i said many moons ago on another thread , you ofter see Tom Cruise outside your house with the I M force team in their black van jamming home alarms to enable them to steal your £150 blaupunkt tv .
Behave mate.
99% of burglers are scumbags with a screwdriver not someone in a black suit and laptop.
If someone that skilled is gonna burgle a house they aint after a 42" tv, they are after the keys to the Lambo on the drive because you live in a £1m+ house, and if that is true i would think you would have more security than a budget wireless alarm!

Is it a good model? I am in the lookout for a security system but staying on the research
Is there any wireless and solar powered ones about of high quality?

I have had one of these wireless (non solar) ones before and the battery died after 5 months.

I've had a solar powered garden light for the last 5 years and haven't changed the battery yet and it still works fine. Im sure a alarm system would be great that was solar powered as its not using (i assume) that much energy since its the sensors that are doing the job.

They have plenty of reviews on the Screwfix website for a lesser model and its average judging by the reviews. Still on the lookout for the Yale ones.

check out response they get good reviews.
Reminder that if your serious about a security install, it has to meet specs on your house insurance or it's just a deterrent. So 99% of the time don't declare a D.I.Y install for insurance as it's a way for them to wriggle out of liability.

i have 4 camera CCTV, but no way id declare it to insurance company. If someone with half a brain broke in they would take dvr recorder if they take the time to see where its installed.

Careful with those Yale ones. For an intruder alarm I went for a branded (Risco) industryapproved alarm fitted by a local fitter. It does cost significantly more than this this type of product but peace of mind following a burglary may have contributed to this.
The Yale ones seem to be on sale quite frequently.

Yeah I know what you mean. My parents had the Risco installed for around £350 with a yearly service from a local installer. I love DIY so will install my own.

Behave? £20 jammer hardly high tech or requires any more intelligence then being able to insert two AA’s. Not that I am, but if I was in the market of robbing someones house then it would be in my bag with that screwdriver. Point I was making was only that wires offer more security than wireless. I get it that not everyone has the luxury of drilling holes but if it helps someone, then I’ve been more helpful than whatever point you were trying to make.

Unless they've also got a ladder and a pair of wire cutters, at which point your wired system is also disabled! At the end of the day someone will break in if they're really determined. How much money, and which deterrent(s) you spend it on is up to individual choice. Good deal for what it is at the end of the day.
I have a yale Telecommunicating Alarm been great use wireless key fob does what I want it to happy with it... Haven't had Tom cruise round yet robbing me with his jammer .. Lol
I went with a texecom ricochet alarm, something the pro fitters reccomend, it’s wireless too, and wasn’t that much more than this in reality.
Cheers ordered.

I haven't seen any mainstream. You'll be able to pick some off on AliExpress but can't speak for their reliability as most are made from IoT type boards.

You you can get the in home smart security systems but they are pricey and I haven't seen one with an external bell box, only an ear piercing internal siren to give your pets a heart attack
