4.0 out of 5 stars clean air, 12 Jun 2011

This review is from: Honeywell IFD-60000 Air Purifier (Kitchen & Home)
Purchased for my mother and father, both elderly, don't open the windows enough and unfortunately my father is a smoker! This machine is as near to silent as they come, good performance in keeping the air clean and no costly filters to replace. Filter easy to remove, clean and replace. All in all a good buy.

hard to confirm the original RRP - anyone else found anywhere else selling this?

this must be a bargain so hot from me

Thanks op

Cheers, bought thanks

RRP Might be a bit adventurous? I've done a quick google on this and it seems to be around the same price across sellers with the highest price at around £45.

thanks, OP. ordered one. RRP may not be right, but it still seems a good price. i can't easily find it elsewhere to compare, though. Found it on argos for 55 discounted from 75.

My room creates about 2 kilos of dust a day so I've bought one to help with my asthma, and to save my PS3 from getting clogged up.

Was about £70 in April on amazon according to camelcamelcamel...appears to be a bargain. Thanks a lot op

Good price but not so hot reviews on Amazon.com:

Ditto that, reviews I've found are mixed at best, but it's still a hot price from me. Seems to be a noisy unit. No prob if it doesn't bother you.

Lol. Ya big sponge ;-] that takes you to the amazon website. I think the supersaver shopping delivery option was a big clue.
Seems a bargain.
Are people buying just because its cheap (even though they might not actually need).

I paid £60 for this a few months ago.

olliehayman how do you know your room produces 2 kilos of dust a day?

Looks good. ordered one....bit of a long delivery time -3 / 4 weeks, heat added.

many thanks, was looking for this for a long time.

what can it really purify

Brought one and returned it. Worried about electricity bill.

Brought - fair price & prob trust the amazon uk reviews - the .com ones are 5-6 years old

What does an air purifier do?

The maximum this runs at is 40w, so about £10 a year. If this worries you then I suggest you don't look at your fridges consumption....

has anyone received it yet?

Just had an email from Amazon 'We regret to inform you that we have been unable to obtain the following item: "Honeywell IFD-60000 Air Purifier"

Oh well pretty poor that they make no effort to source an alternative

Yes, I've had the 'unable to obtain' Email too. Did anyone get their order successfully I wonder??
p.s. I'm sure the last item I ordered from Amazon with a 'long' delivery date had the same fate!! Can't remember what it was unfortunately!!

Our supplier has informed us that this item is no longer available. This item has now been cancelled from your order #XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX and we can confirm that you have not been charged for it.

Please accept our apologies for any disappointment or inconvenience caused.

also got an email, 'we regret......' seems like the seller realised how cheap the price was )))

it is now GBP 60. You guys got a bargain there =)
