My Honor 8 got screen retention after 18 months, no fault of my own. Repaired under warranty with no cost to myself. Can't believe someone is complaining about getting a years extra warranty.

You told me you were over 18!
Last time I'm buying a six pack for ya.
Seems like a cracking price MrSwitch. Heat, for what it's worth, duly added.

(Still looking for that 32GB Holy Grail.)

What a warped view on life you have, seriously, what a prediction to make.

Screen retention only happens on plasma screens.

Since when was a mobile phone a 'view on life'. If your phone is your life, you have my pity.

No burn in happens on plasma/amoled screens, image retention can happen to LCD screens, it's not permanent but can become more common. Google it.

Also, liking your own comment is quite sad.
Great phone, totally recommend it I use it and very happy with it

Eh...... No.

In 24 years of mobile ownership, never had one go wrong due to user error. Had a couple go wrong with bootloop and faulty screen (related to overheating) in year two though.

Don't understand all these kids with cracked screens!?!?!?

Oh, and heat by the way Mrswitch. Top deal.

What's sadder yet is CHECKING who liked someone else's comment. Very odd behaviour indeed.

Still no phone?

Nope, fraid not. Truth be known, I'm constantly having to delete stuff off my personal phone. (It's nearly as old as I am.) Still looking for the magic sim free £100 (£99 would be so much better, well, in my mind, anyway). Said to you before, I don't want to buy from abroad, too long in the tooth for that. The hunt continues and I follow your posts, so here's hoping...

Thank you!

I appreciate that!.

I just attract some very odd people on my deals
I have had devices fail due to battery failing / screen flicker after the 12 months to be honest i had a Asus tablet that failed to power up 20 months john Lewis sent it back to Asus and they took the bill to repair. So yeah things can fail after 12 months. I have had other devices fail for other reasons too. Camera module failed to take photos. I had one phone not registering sim cards no more that was a funny one ect and these were all covered under warranty. Of course some of these issues arrised 8 months and some after 12. So it is hit and miss when or if devices will fail.

You must be the world's most unlucky person. Every single phone I've owned has only ever gone wrong if I dropped it.
Anyway the law states it has to work for 5 years after date of sale, so it's basically pointless having the 2 year warranty

It depends on how many phones/ devices you have owned over the years. Also this is not just me but family as well since I deal with techy stuff most of the family come to me and I have a large family so it's not just me. Regarding the Asus tablet Asus sent me a bill as the warranty was only 12 months. So the bill which was around £100 was paid by John Lewis. Out of warranty repair.
