Oooooh tempted.....
I was about to hit the button on the Huwaei P Smart+ 2019 (note: the + version with the better camera, not the cheaper "P Smart 2019") - any suggestions as to how this compares for a tenner more?

I know for sure the 20 lite has more memory and storage space, plus a better selfie camera, but not sure about the main cameras
So, this is on my shortlist, any advice on the best from the following, or any other alternatives:

Honor 20 lite for £179
Huawei Mate 20 lite £179
Huawei P30 lite £206

Criteria is a decent storage decent camera, some gaming, was looking for sub £150, but £200 is my limit.

Coming from a P10 lite for the past 2 years.

Have to be new?
Preferably, I tend to keep them a while, so may as well get a new one.

Get 10% of most retail prices through e-points, but some things get a bit extra discount.

I personally wouldn't go for any if the three you've pointed out, I'd be more inclined to go for a xiaomi, the note 7 is in your price bracket (Amazon, xiaomi uk) which is the phone id plump for in your situation personally.

Obviously you csn get better specs of you're ok with the HK sites

Cheers, I'll take a look. Trying not to pull the trigger on anything until Black Friday, just in case, although it'll probably be a waste of time.
This or g7 power which can get for 110 at very !!
Good price for a UK seller but I think I'd still recommend importing the Redmi Note 8 Pro or Mi 9 Lite for the around the same price

Cool, glad I could help
So MrSwitch Master Flash, hopefully that's your wake word/s. My Pixel 2 decided to hate me today and let me down at a crucial sat navigation moment in my life by sulking and switching itself off. It's fortunate it doesn't have a throat otherwise I would have strangled the little bar steward. Anyway as interesting as that story isn't could you tell me what you would buy for £200 - £250 that has a battery that works (aka much larger battery than a PIxel 2 Oh I'm sorry you wanted to use me today phone) and has a decent camera? That's all I need all the flagships are crap this year, that's my subjective opinion, so I just need something to replace the Pixel 2 rather than using my foot to smash it's little smug face in. It's looking at me now, yeah you, you little git, don't give me that look, you know what you did or rather didn't. Anyway whilst I seek help for talking to inanimate objects, although I feel before the end of the day it won't be inanimate as it will be orbiting my house courtesy of my boot what suits my requirements.

TLDR; This post wasn't too long, you're just too lazy to read folks, as The Switch Master by virtue of my self appointed moniker is actually the Phone Master, here is a summary of my request for advice :

Need Phone
Mega battery
Decent camera/s
£200-£250

There's a lot of competition at this price bracket, one wrong move and it could be Pixel gate again. I could just make things easy and buy the phone in this deal, but I feel like that's too easy and that worries me, feels like a trap.

Wow, what a sad story, and I now feel, not for you, but your poor pixel 2, you shoykd donate it to the local home for disadvantaged children, as it seems its had a lot of abuse (from namely you) yes you

I'll forgive as you asked so nicely and tell you which phone I'd choose in your price bracket.

I'd go with a xiaomi, mainly either the mi 9t or 8/8 pro/9 lite, mainly 9 lite but you may prefer physical fingerprint sensor (pro and 8 )

The 8t is on the Xiaomi UK website for £179, with a free mi band 4, which is a great deal, or on amazon via a third party for around £150, also three do it for £169 + £10 Top Up.

For the 9 lite it would have to be an import, as UK prices are just expensive, gearbest do it for £160 - £180 depending on storage.

Thanks MrSwitch, may all your Gigabytes align and the force be with you and if you don't like Star Wars then live long and prosper and if you don't like Star Trek then I haven't watched Frozen so I can't quote any lines from that sorry. I think the Mi Band 4 may help me to reduce my blood pressure by using mindfulness to monitor and reduce my heartrate. I will look at this Xiaomi brand, I hope not too many Chinese ppl have died for me to own such a device, life is hard though, plus if they spy on me all they will hear is me swearing a lot as I often do this when stressed and I'm often stressed, the door in my house got in the way today, I should have it removed but then burglars might steal my Pixel 2, seems tempting now actually, I love it when a plan comes together/

Google don't "update" any phones apart from their Pixels. Honor probably won't be able to update it though due to the US sanctions. Most budget phones only get one Android updates anyway. Personally I'd get the Redmi Note 8 Pro or the Mi 9 Lite for around the seem price

Thanks. There are quite a few options in the under £200 bracket. The Samsung M20S looks another decent phone but leaning towards the 8T. Seems the best all-rounder.

It is in my opinion, I'm all about big batteries, but Samsungs problem are optimisations, as in they don't know how to do them, so a big battery, becomes an average maybe 4000mAh batter life, however Xiaomi with miui, and Huawei with EMUI (imo) do it best in my opinion, though they kill all apps in the background which annoys some, but again I don't mind it as I rarely keep apps open in the background anyway.
