Fab price OP, similar to Pixel 3a XL but so much more powerful, with luxury camera features, cannibalising P30. Only question mark is the extent of support it will get in future, both from Huawei & Google

I think that's the question on every Huawei owners lips atm. Doesn't worry me personally.

I got the mate 20 pro from the O2 deal in September. Just found out they have dropped os updates and security updates for the mate 10 pro. I think they only provide os/security updates for two years from the month of release. Not good in my opinion.

Update: It's around 2.5 years of support for the mate 10 pro. It was released in Nov 2017

Fab phone, M10P, deserved better - I guess loss of sales can easily translate into support corner-cutting

My next phone will be either be a android one or Nokia or possible pixel (if the price is right). I am fed up with built in obsoletion these phones have. Not a apple fab boy but hats off to them for supporting phones for 4-5 years plus.

Samsung did pretty well with S7, supported till recently I believe, nearly 4 years
Google stopped support for their own Pixel in Oct last year, every phone has a limit for updates and on average I change my phone every year, so it wouldn't bother me buying this.
I believe this is the lowest price I have ever seen for this phone and it comes from Europe, not from China.
Cheaper alternative is Huawei Nova 5T which has 128 Gb instead of 256 but other than that is almost the same.
Also battery is 3750 instead of 4000 mAh.
And comes with Google apps and support.

The nova 5t is just the honor 20, non pro, and has lesser specs then this, the pro.

Pro vs non pro version (or Nova 5T) is not such a big upgrade IMHO
Same chipset, GPU, PPI etc.
There are just a few differences.
That's why I see the Nova/ 20 non Pro as a cheaper alternative.
You get nearly the same performance and experience but for less money.

You don't know what you're talking about, Switch tried to tell you but you didn't listen. Pro's camera performance is in another league, one of best camera phones in market. Don't buy this if you're not a photography buff, save your cash for cheaper non-Pro instead (which has a very good camera for most folks btw)
