Not the cheapest it's ever been, but not bad since there is no lightning deal quantity and time restriction. Probably slightly cheaper at Chinese sellers, but I think at this price it's not bad with Amazon warranty.

I am torn between this and the Nexus 5x...i know the differences spec wise but has anyone had chance to try both in real life?
every phone ive ordered from amazon has gone boobs up within 3 months, either not in stock or even sold any more too, but they have offered me the money that was paid back, shame there's never a similar phone with the same specs for the price paid though, so i always find myself needing to add 20-30£ each time.. Savvy business plan by amazon?

one gets updated and is a flagship phone with customer support, the other isn't.

near identical specs apart from fingerprint sensor and dual sim on the honor 5x.

I have a smart ultra 6 which is great but is a bit of a drab design so the metal finish might make the honor a bit more premium. I haven't seen on up close though
still with my Samsung note 3 which is running fine, is this a good upgrade anyone knows??
I've got a Note 4 and I've heard this is on par

The Nexus 5X is not a flagship device. The 6P is, but not the 5X that has many performance and battery issues.
For the price, the Honor 5X is a good phone, the fingerprint scanner works really well. It does stutter a little when multiple apps are open. The display is good, slightly better than the Smart Ultra 6, but it does cost more. Design wise, the Honor 5X is nicer, but the Smart Ultra 6 wins out because of its fantastic price. I'm currently using the Honor 5X, and the Smart Ultra 6 was my old phone.
I've found my Honor 5X battery lasts better than my partners Note 4...but, that could be how she's set it up.

The Honor 5x doesn't have NFC but has a fingerprint sensor whereas the Smart Ultra 6 has NFC but no fingerprint sensor.

thank you guys i think i will stick with vodafone as its £70 cheaper
anyone know if this phone would run 4g on both sim at the same time?
very slow phone slower then 2 years old Samsung phones no matter which launcher you going to use, although the handset looks awesome easy to hold despite quite big in size finger print is fast and accurate, have to returned it to amazon

Not an equal. Nice device for the money, and arguably better VFM, but performance wise not a touch on a Note 4.

Never in a million years, Note 4 has flagship spec's and this is a mid range phone. You should try looking at the spec sheet SD 805 vs SD 616 chipset. Note 4 still a beast of a phone even tho it came out late 2014.
How's the camera? I am tempted by the SU6 but believe the camera is pretty bad.

I cannot speak for the Honor 5x, I know little about it, however I can speak of the Nexus 5x and perhaps give some more info about that phone. On a number of different threads I've been warning people off the Nexus 5x. Since purchase it has been laggy and problematic. A huge frustration. I've not had any issue with battery, and find it the same as any other smart phone, but the lag made it feel underpowered and overwhelmed by today's expectations. Such a disappointment given how much I loved my old Nexus 4. Anyway, a few weeks ago Google announced they were releasing a patch in the march security update, and it contained fixes aimed at the Nexus 5x problems. I got this patch a couple of days ago and I can say it has resolved all my issues with the phone. It is almost like I purchased a new phone. The lag is gone, the camera doesn't crash the phone anymore, and works brilliantly, finally, and it feels slick, fast and good. At last! This isn't saying you should buy a Nexus 5x over this device on offer, but knowing that the reported issues with the Nexus 5x appear to be fully solved (it has only been a few days bear in mind), it might inform your choice.
Great phone, got one from Amazon on the lightening deal. Dunno why everyone's hung on the Emui, I stuck the Google now launcher on it and it's fine, no complaints from me.
still £190 at official Huawei webstore VMall

I wonder if they fixed the Nexus 9 lag.

Didn't realise the Nexus 9 was suffering the same way.
Excellent quality per price ratio but this one does not have NFC, e.g. for Google pay or Android pay like Samsung pay. However when Android pay is coming everywhere in the future this one will become a very old model and I will be needing to upgrade anyway. Every half year all smartphone become outdated and old fashion. Every year you feel the urge to upgrade. That was my thought when I bought Honor 7, it's cheap but better performance than my wife's iPhone 6s, especially Huawei camera performance. That could apply to Honor 5x.

I was a Nexus fan when the Nexus 4 and the original Nexus 7 were launched. Both amazing devices at launch but completely destroyed by Google's software updates.

I've realised Google just treat Nexus owners as Beta testers. I'd rather have a device that runs bug free on an older version of Android than have a bug ridden experience with a Nexus.

Yep my Nexus 9 still lags after the update. Really good device but have been disappointed from the beginning about the lag considering it's a Nexus device. Even my Nexus 5 doesn't lag that badly. You press that recently used apps button and have to wait 3-5 second for a response. Crazy for a relatively newish devise.

Perhaps that is the case, I don't know, but the Nexus 5x issue was device specific and existed over multiple android updates. This wasn't an Android issue, persay, but a device one, as many other phones running the same version of android saw no such lag. I'm very curious to find out what it was.

Sorry to hear that. I hadn't come across the same reports for the Nexus 9 when researching my issue.. Prior to this fix, I once couldn't answer an important call because the phone took too long to respond to my swipe. I would say though, check that something else isn't causing your lag. Only reason I say that is when looking into my problem, a lot of people kept referring to how the 9 had no such issues. And although it was higher spec, it outperformed the 5x so much, it suggested a fault with the 5x. The 5x had so many reports of lag, it was overwhelming and finally led google to fix it, it seems. Good luck with it anyway, certainly a disappointing Nexus range. Even though my phone now works as I expected to, bitter taste has been left and will think twice before getting another.
This or the LG G3, could someone please advise?

I have the LG G3 and love it, but I'm thinking of getting this 5X or better still the Honor 7 which is on sale quite often around £200 with some free stuff. Though I've not tried either, they look fantastic and great specs for the prices.

only comment on Honor 7.. it is blazing fast. Still enjoying it. .. oh just downloaded and installed Marshmallow, even better. I feel like using Huawei. I used to say it's a Sony. Now that Sony is crap, I can say "It's a Huawei"

I have the Honor 7. Really pleasantly surprised with it. Marshmallow update due imminently for it. I installed the update via web as I couldn't wait, now it flies. Much slicker now and works that bit better. Things have moved on massively since my last 'unbranded' 'phone.

Dual Sim 5" Moto G 2014 got the Andriod 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade this week, in the UK. Installed fine, though thought it would never happen. There is something to be said for Apple's methods when it comes to phone updates.
