This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Quite a lot of good phones posted from Argos Ebay yesterday by a couple of the sites most helpful members, but think this phone offers great value for money, too, so posting it in case it helps even one person out!

With a 6.5 inch screen it's a pleasure for Netflix etc and can comfortably play lots of games.

And a 3,750mAh battery provides decent stamina to be confident you should make it through the day!

It is provided with USB cable so you just need to use a USB charger you already have lying around, or pick up a low cost one locally or online.

And member U66 recommends a cheap case from eBay as like a lot of nice phones these days, it can be quite slippery.

Even with small cost of a cheap charger and case I still think a fab deal!

Provided as A Grade from a big company like Argos, peace of mind of 30 day money back guarantee and a 12 months warranty make this stand out to me.

Honor 10 Lite also available for 123.99... Lite by name but not by nature - as it's a good handset, with the more modern look of a smaller notch, but quite similar in many ways to the 8X, again A Grade and a very good handset for this kind of money, and someone after a smaller, but not too small 6.2 inch screen!

Thanks for this. If not happy can you take it back to store for refund?
Fantastic deal OP
No problem at all Yesgo! Hope it helps!

I think you have to send it back to them. But it's a no hassle return if you're not happy.

But in my experience of four items I've personally ordered in the last six months, things have arrived either like brand new or really minted condition, and everything worked perfectly. So fingers crossed no need to send it back!

No, refurbs nothing to do with Argos store, you need to post it back

Good price. Looks like updates have helped with mine as its no longer being slow when charging and Android auto works again! Can't fault it for this price.

Good deal. But you will need to buy a decent charger as Argos never supplies chargers on refurbs!

Hehe yes, hopefully will get the thumbs up from the main Mr S!

I'm never going to be a deal posting machine, as that's a real skill, but want to try and contribute here and there!

Saw a really good deal on a Bose speaker earlier, but just before I submitted the deal, price went back up on Amazon - must get quicker... More caffeine needed!

Haha, yes, I can relate to family visits! Love them all to bits, at a reasonable distance

Well, make the most of being cooked for and the balanced and nutritious meals you are about to receive!

Thanks Ron, glad you're loving yours! And good for others to have your opinion with you owning the 8X
I've owned my 8X for about 8 months and can confirm it's the best budget phone I've ever owned. It works fine and I can get up to 2 days use on a charge if I'm not streaming for long periods. The phones shape means it sits very comfortably in your hand and the fingerprint reader is in exactly the right position. No real downside if you accept it's a £125 phone and not a £600+ flagship model.

Cheers DMS, super useful comments there and good to have your views on it!
Only downside is the virtually none existent notification led.
Thank you, I read about this phone last week and have been keeping an eye out for a good deal on one, so I have just gone and purchased one of these.

Bought my 8x a few weeks ago with the same Argos/ebay deal at £127.99. Said I'd never go back to Android after previous experiences with budget phones so have been an Apple convert for a few years (always pre-loved devices). Coming from iPhone 7, which was great by the way, the transition has been a breeze. The 8x is a fantastic phone - easy 2 days without a charge, it's responsive with both fingerprint and facial unlocking, and will get Android 10.

Only downside with the Argos "refurb" is it doesn't come with a protective case. This phone is the slipperiest thing known to man. Get a cheapo one from eBay or anywhere but get a case!

Hey there U66, good to hear you are another happy buyer of this phone.

Like you, I was with Apple for a while but for me personally there is no comparison these days when you weigh everything up.

Good advice on the case - anyone ordering one should probably order one when they order the phone, will add to description, cheers.

Yeah whilst 8X has a notification light, it is very, very subtle so if that really important to you perhaps another phone is the way to go!

Not sure how Honor Play compares for thay but hopefully someone here will know...

This or new Samsung A20e for about £110 from Vodafone?

This or new Samsung A20e for about £110 from Vodafone?

Not being biased but I'd choose this personally over a new a20e, with this being advertised as A Grade and strong guarantee.

Bigger screen, bigger battery, more storage (64gb vs 32gb) more RAM (4gb vs 3gb) etc. This also won't be locked to any network to give you free choice of phone network or make easier to sell on later (without needing unlock code).

That doesn't mean I'm knocking the a20e at that price at all, just my humble opinion. Others may see it differently!

Thanks for your thoughts.

Positives for A20e:
Free to unlock, may have to wait a month but usually Voda does it immediately.
Dual Sim + separate SD slot
NFC
New model so Security and OS support for 3 years.
2 year warranty.

Honor - Great spec but:
is it Dual Sim + separate SD?
NFC?
How is the Security and OS support?

It sounds like your mind may be made up It's good to share opinions and see what other people think, even if just reinforces the way you are leaning.

Just to answer your questions about the 8X:

Pretty sure it is dual sim + separate SD card, but as it starts out with double the storage of the A20e (more after deducting the OS on the A20E 32GB storage) the 8X won't be rushing as much for extra storage. Onboard storage as you will know is generally quicker than reading and writing to external cards, and there is also option on both devices to use Google Drive/Dropbox etc.

When you read the Argos description you may have noticed it stated the 8X has NFC also.

The A20e will of course likely beat the Honor 8X on vendor security and support. Life is full of unknowns and there are also the unknowns of the Trade war between US and China. But we live in a world where one minute we pretend to care about security, privacy etc, and then give our lives away to the big American companies so our personal data can be mined to the max!

I quite like the A20e. I think in real terms you'll be happy with either device and choose the best one for you, but like anything there will be small compromises or workarounds with either of them. Which is the same for every single phone in the world to some degree. Even the most expensive ones!

I answered my personal choice to your one sentence question about which to go for, but everyones circumstances and preferences are slightly different. Even in this thread, lots of very satisfied 8X users. But sure lots of satisfies A20e users, too.
8x is dual SIM and SD card support with a single 3 space tray for each.

I've just gone and ordered the same one, thank you.
Was on the verge of pulling the trigger on the 8x, but looks like they're all gone.

How does the Huawei Mate 20 lite compare? It's a bit more at £149.99, but looks similar/decent.

Just got back - Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts.
My head says A20e as resale will be better but love the spec on the Honor so decided to go for it but its ooo
Set ebay to watch item in case some don't get picked up. Else A20a next week and sell it for almost the same money when a better option comes along.
I've just ordered a screen protector for this phone but on reading some reviews, people are saying that a screen protector already comes factory fitted. Do you think that Argos/ebay would have removed the screen protector before selling these phones on? Thank you.
Near perfect phone for the price.. I purchased via ebay this afternoon.

Key features were NFC.... WiFi calling and at least a 3500mah battery along with Full HD.

Missing feature was rapid charge

Believe it or not. I could not find a 'budget' phone that had all of the above in a single package.
NFC was missing in most of the low end Xiaomi's otherwise it would have been a redmi note 7.

NFC for payments key though.

Thanks for the posting.. Much appreciated
