You know it's Huawei in disguise, its all about the camera for me - Id bite at 650 at a push for this ...949 just seems alot ...bet its still great though ...
Two years only support at this price is criminal. Also some of the reviews are only so so about the cameras. A few also suggest the software is buggy.

This has GMS.- That price though. I remember when the whole point of xiaomi and huawei's was that they offered flagship spec for 1/5 of the price. Nowdays they're same top spec but for the same price as iPhones!

The Magic 4 Ultimate looks excuse the pun, the ultimate camera phone but top camera phones are so rediculously overpriced, I blame Apple for breaking the £1k barrier and making £1k+ normal for flagships- Author

I had it with the P30 Pro, got a Pixel 6 Pro now. It was better than wired though, you'll get a profit on eBay if it doesn't work for you.

Huawei flagships haven't been cheap for a long time, that was usually Honor but there were always corners cut - lower res screens, less ram, cheaper build materials etc but were really good for the money.

We need a full honest not paid for review Switchy. Cmon you can do it (edited)- Really thought this could be the one but seems far too expensive to me. Also whether you trust DXOmark or not the Ultimate version of this phone has a much better (in theory) main sensor than this phone so don't buy it based on that... feel like that's cleverly timed marketing from Honor there.
- Thought this was gonna launch at £899? Have they treated themselves to a cheeky £50 price bump lol

I don't think its a p30 pro thing ..ive read online and seems to be some devices have the issue and some don't...so frustrating.
Using official data cable and disconnects randomly or doesn't connect at all. Seems to be the usb configuration (i think) that automatically goes back to charge only mode despite setting to default data transfer mode in developer settings...- All these years without GMS. It looks like the losses are going to passed onto customers.

The phone itself might be great but £950 for a phone that’ll likely not get more than two software updates is bad value for money. Factoring in resale value (or lack thereof), this is a very very expensive device.nublets2k13/05/2022 01:31

That's Huawei, not Honor- £949 and you're only getting 2 OS updates
Also cameras on it seem decent all round but not much better than the other competiton especially low light based off some reviews i read, Honor have lost access to all of Huawei's R&D that made the camera so good, the camera hardware huawei had was mostly all custom sony parts but now Honor has to use off the shelf sensors like the IMX 766 (found on various OPPO's) and also apparantley weaker processing over Huawei
Also OP DXOmark is garbage and basically just used for advertising at this point, their ratings mean jack all (edited) - What is a good upgrade on the p30 pro then. I'm in the same boat as many with the p30 pro O2 refresh deal.

I got galaxy S21 ultra last year on a glitch deal. Never went back to P30 pro. Size is a bit bigger and heavier but you get used to it.
