Benchmarks are pretty irrelevant to be honest and very often don’t reflect real world experience. The fact is this phone performs flawlessly and smoothly with no discernible lag or stutter.
Even with the most graphically intensive games there are no dropped frames, no stutter and no overheating.
To say the phone is not very good is just plain wrong. In real world scenarios it will perform as well as any of the current flagships.

Absolute rubbish. My mate 10 pro has the Kirin 970 and has the best battery life I have ever had in a phone on top supports super charge which I personally think walks all over quick charge. On top I'm running pubg on max settings...alot of people complain their modern Samsung's etc are not able to do this..also my screen is 1080 and I love pixel counts but it's getting stupid now. In handheld I see no reason to have more pixels. If they are there then great if not I won't be able to tell a difference.

GPU prices through the roof - all deals not below RRP automatically cold

phone at higher price than last week - OK because it's cheapest current price
Picked one up at £349 - an amazing phone for the money!

Excellent VFM, cracking phone. Heat added
Cant decide whether to buy this or wait to see if the 10p comes down on release of the 20p next week

The benchmarks are good, but it achieves this very inefficiently.

Eg- The s8 will achieve 10fps per watt, this will manage 6fps per watt but they both run at a strong 40fps, therefore your battery will drain 66% faster.
I'm in the process of moving from my old Samsung S5 to this new View 10 which I got early this week. Early impressions are it's quicker (obviously), heavier, tall screen is good for some things, but less comfortable etc. Comparing the OLED to the LCD displays does it no favours. So I have mixed feelings. If the S5 hadn't become some laggy etc. I'd have stuck with that. I hope in time I grow to appreciate the View 10, but right now it's just a bit of a disappointment. Specs are great on paper, but the actual feel/using of the handset doesn't live up to my personal expectations. On the plus side, the battery is decent - 2 days of light to medium use.

Had phone a month now.... Brought from JL with 2 Yr warranty. Came from HTC M8, this is a cracking phone..... I'm a medium user, camera is ace, I'm on my 2nd day of charge now.... Battery showing 79%. Everyone has a choice...... I've not regretted mine.

Again, on paper maybe but I can guarantee you the battery life on this is better than an S8. If it were draining 66% faster than an S8 a typical user could only expect this to last until lunchtime. The reality is this has easily 2 day battery life...

Don't even get me started. Some people don't even post deals they find because it'll either get shot down with cold votes or just lead to pointless arguments.
Heat That's alot of phone for your money takibg into account its UK stock with warranty. This is essentially the mate 10 pro without ip68, amoled screen and a few other small differences

Considering something similar from OnePlus will set you back £499 it's a small price to pay, if you're only a casual gamer or not a gamer at all it's not an issue at all.

Also, it's 1080 x 2160 which is absolutely fine.
I've got the honor 9 and it's a great phone best I've ever owned. Will definitely be looking at this to replace my wife's iPhone 6 which is constantly slow and out of space!!

Mobile games are rarely as demanding as benchmarks which are essentially stress tests, the information is interesting but I doubt it represents real world usage.
If I was in the market for a phonr right now it wouldnt put me off.
Only issue with this phone has been quieter than expected audio via earphones but it's not quiet enough for me to care. Just on the first day it took a bit of time to get adjusted to it. Also I tried to take some pictures when it was snowing the other week but they didn't come out so well - though it could be user error.

Other than that, coming from a 4 year old phone to this has just been amazing. The screen looks amazing, and is way bigger than my previous phone despite my previous phone actually being larger. The finger print thing is something I never thought would be useful but really really is. The emui is adorable, and is really pleasing me as someone who has always wanted to go back to apple but is too cheap.

Also my old phone used to skip songs and answer calls in my pocket - this clever little phone knows how to stop that I'm very happy with it.
I like the look of this but am reluctant to move just yet from my Lenovo P2 which is still the best phone I've had, pound for pound. Also has an even better battery than this one. Had it over a year and can't justify a new phone yet - but this would be a contender. Hot I reckon.
I've had the Mate 10 for a month now (sibling of the View 10) and I'm absolutely in love with the phone, especially at this price it is a bargain considering the closest competitor is the OP5T at 130 quid more. Battery life on medium to high usage is around 2 days, the screen is not the best but it isn't a problem, also 5.99'' are amazing for certain tasks although it comes at the cost of handling. For the cameras I'm not sure, but the leica combo in the mate 10 is as good as the Iphone X setup (according to dxomark).

The only reason to not get this smartphone if you are in the market for one is the proximity of the Mi7 ane Mi7+

The P2 was ridiculous value for the £200 that Three were selling it for, ion still gutted I missed the chance to get one!
Great value compared to the OnePlus 5T.

You're missing the point. I said inefficient GPU, not that it is not powerful. You will run pubg at max but your battery will desapear pronto.

Also your phone will last a long time when not gaming .....it has a bigger battery.

Don't dismiss the data when you don't understand the topic.

This is the main reason I'm put off this phone, yes it has a headphone jack but I've read a few people stating that's it's too quiet so defeats the object, dam shame.
I would like a gorilla or better glass, so holding fire till the 27th P20. good price though.

I heard that it's only headphones, if you have bluetooth headphones it will still be loud

but yeah it's not too quiet, it surprised me at first because I have music on in 1 ear when I ride my motorbike and the day I got the phone I just felt like the engine was overpowering the music but I bought some new headphones (philips something from currys) and it increased a bit from my ~2 year old pair but not that much, but I don't feel like it's too quiet now that I have adjusted to it

if you root the phone apparently you can unrestrict the volume (limited due to eu regulations) but I don't have any need to root it so I haven't looked into that
Had one delivered on Tuesday, very fast, although 1080p you can't see pixels so don't worry about any of that gibberish. Battery life is down to 20% since taking it off charge Wednesday morning, well impressed. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend thus far.

You should state the S8 with the snapdragon SOC when saying it achieves 10fps per watt. The EU version uses the exynos varient and this is less efficient than the Kirin 970. Look at the link you posted.

So what you've proved is the EU varient of the S8 is less efficient and has a smaller battery to boot. Well done. No wonder this deal is so hot

Yeah looks pretty cool but it’s going to cost a lot more than this. All the new phones are sky rocketing in prices..
Anyone had any experience with John Lewis guarantee especially with mobiles?
Also do you know if its transferable if I decide to sell next year?
