Honor View 20 on O2 Refresh Deal

Device price £225 (becomes £150 with £75 via live chat)

For the uninitiated you take out a refresh plan. When you receive the handset, pay off the device element in full immediately and cancel the airtime the same day.

Seriously good phone for this sort of price. Read all the reviews.

If you're already with O2 and due an upgrade you may also be entitled to a further loyalty discount on the handset.

A polite live chat could potentially bag you £75 off the price of the handset. You may get more with loyalty added on.

Happy days.

Heat added £30 less again, wonder if you could be cheeky and get the extra £75 off as well?
Hi Mrswitch, I think you can get more than lucky than the £75...

They gave me it for £119 after loyalty discount

OP - may be worth adding details to your post on how O2 refresh works for those who are unsure.
Brilliant deal but are they locked to 02?

Christ on a bike... What an incredible deal. Kirin 980 and top specs for 225... My goodness.
this or a samsung a70?
Is this like taking out a new contract and then cancel after a month? So usual credit check and stuff.
This or the p30?

Or do I just keep my Nokia 8?

My wife just had the a70 and it was a good phone but the camera was poor
Ordered! Woop woop
How do I do the deal I get 3 months minimum contract and upfront for 180?
Please share the best order process. I've been aware of these tactics to get the phone paid off after a month, but am behind the curve. Some googling this afternoon has not helped. device price £225 plus £20 upfront plus £24.80 monthly charge. Many thanks

You need to find "see our plans" then scroll to the bottom and choose pay device in full

Mine has gone through with 225 to pay for the phone and 1 month contract
Edited by: "Firtle" 1st Aug 2019
I read the O2 refresh and it doesn't state its for 1 month
It's just that my order confirmation says "1 months contract"

I'm. With 02, is there any process involved regards the Loyalty thing? Or did you have to call, etc.
Just call them, tell them your thinking of upgrading to this if the deal on the handset was right and would they be willing to offer you a discount?

They did for me, whoosh and I got it for £119
Top phone... And 225 is crazy price
Awesome camera

£225 for the phone upfront + £19 for one month airtime, and you need call them to cancel the contract asap when you received your sim card, last time I did o2 refresh they charged me for 3 months, after many complaints the refund all 3 months plus £30 compensation for the heading I had. Still worth.
I know I could cancel Direct Debit , but didn't want risk my credit score.

I got £75 off lol
Had mine for a week now and it's an amazing phone, at this price it's a bargain.
Anyone know what to do/say to get them to take £75 off via chat? Not being greedy or anything 😜

Just say you've been told they're offering £75 off via live chat. It's pretty easy actually.

Cheers, will see how I get on.
O2 chat has just told me: Google has confirmed that for existing Huawei and Honor smartphone users, things will stay the same for now, and customers don’t need to take any action. Huawei has now been granted a temporary license ability to maintain existing networks and provide software updates to existing Huawei handsets until August 2019. Customers can use and update their devices as normal.
they can only give me £25 off via live chat. how are yous getting £119 lol

It depends on the O2 customer loyalty discount that they are prepared to offer you. It will vary customer to customer.

A lot of people have had £75 off by the looks of it though

The £225 price quoted above is the max price for this handset and you should be able to get it cheaper by speaking to them

Whilst I've only made 1 purchase, I contacted them several times via live chat and each time I was offered the £75 without an issue. No drama or anything, I just asked for it. The process is a little long winded but I got my order sorted just now.

Live chat is here and I selected the looking to join option. I think it's the bottom one:
o2.co.uk/help
They offered me £75 each month for 3 months for the phone. Then £23 for the tariff, at which point if I paid the phone I could cancel the sim contract. So £225 for the phone in total.
OP you kill me. £26 15gb tariff which I'll cancel after a month, £75 off cost so £150. £176 for a new view 20. Wow. Another one ordered @Mrswitch@xavierluther
