Its good and but its not worth £28.99

Is it worse than other equivalents or do you mean these products as a whole are overpriced?
This is only my personal opinion, its a standard card reader with hdmi out and usb c.
Im sure ive seen the same thing for around £15 without usb c, and a micro usb to usb c is only £3 so not the biggest bargain
There are at least 3 similar hubs on Amazon for less than this - have a look.
Normally the cheaper ones I've seen don't include power delivery or the quality/reviews are poor.
If this works well, the price isn't bad.

the key bit in your text is: without usb-c

The usb-c is the critical bit - it has to be able to power the device (macbook chromebook etc) thats what drives the cost up and thats what makes or breaks these things - they are expensive, but they do a lot, they are a power source, a hdmi out and a card reader and in some cases an RJ45 - personally i wouldn't buy one until i had read a lot of reviews, and i wouldn't go cheap on one.
I wonder if you can use them as a dex station for a note 9. Some videos on youtube show similar things like this working

I’m not sure if it would work but I know you could buy a chromecast and just stream it from your mobile. I do that myself and the quality is excellent.
I have one of these:

amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1

Works perfectly fine for my needs (occasionally connecting my laptop to a monitor along with my peripherals) Haven't tried the charging point as my laptop does not support USB-C charging
wonder if this would work with an oculus rift to connect the headset and 2 sensors. Would make it a lot less hassle as I use with my laptop. guessing the bandwidth wouldn't be good enough
No Ethernet. Cold. There are much better ones at similar prices on Amazon uk.

Not sure, depends on mobile manufacturer. I use this to output a tablet, so I don't see why not?

Yeah, already do that via fire stick but wireless connectivity never stable, really wanted direct wired connection, but don't know what's best/compatible! Anyone here know
I checked many usb c hubs and reviews, the best I found was the kiwibird USB C hub from eBay. Has great reviews and I have had it for 1 month and everything works great and the colour matches my space gray MacBook. Also has 4K HDMI support. Bargain for under £21! Link - rover.ebay.com/rov…453

Yes it will I used mine on a non 4k tv and picture quality was great. Some reviews mentioned they used it on a note 8 so don’t know why it wouldn’t work on a phone
4K - 30fps, be aware!

Micro USB cannot power a MacBook or any other USB C laptop so not comparable.

Fair comment
I’m after one with Ethernet with a plastic cover. The metal covered one I’ve got at the moment scratches the laptop.

Ever tried using this to connect a tablet to the tv? I have a Samsung Tab S and it's apparently pretty fussy about mini hdmi wires.
