turbo outrun ? By another name ?
Looks like a poor mans outrun.
Good game, fun in single or multiplayer.
Was on PS+ recently. If you like the Amiga lotus turbo games then this up your street, also same composer
It's a pretty good game, however I get a frame skip every so often, which is really annoying.
This is a great game. I played the hell out of it when it first came out. If you remember playing Top Gear and Lotus Esprit Turbo, this game is a love-letter to that era off racing game. It's blisteringly fast with fantastic music - they even got Lotus Esprit composer Barry Leitch back to write some new songs for the game. Barry even put an Easter Egg in the mobile version of the game - a proposal to his girlfriend that unlocked if you drew a heart on the screen at the start of the first San Francisco race. It's a lovely story but I think it says a lot about the love that everyone put into the game.

I have the same cynical and suspicious attitude with many Eshop digital only games, as lets face it, many of them are unofficial redone rip offs of retro games. Admittedly I have not played this game, but my instincts and impressions are same as yours. £9 seems rather expensive for what I am looking at, never mind the £18 usual price tag. The eshop must be a nice earner for both Nintendo who get their cut and the 3rd party producers. Presumably there is a lot of browse/impulse purchasing going on?

To be fair it’s cheaper for smaller indies to get games published. I have heard good things about this game.
If you want a game that has the 'one more go' factor this is it. Addictive as hell!
