This game is a masterpiece and having now played it, I would have paid full price for it had I known how good it was.

Cex won't take it if you decide to sell it to them. That's about it

If you have a ps+ account then I would just spend the extra £2.50 and download the complete edition in the summer sale.

I'd imagine that's the standard edition. The complete edition is £20.49 (with Plus).

Different save files, if you have previously played it then your save file won't be seen. I learned that the hard way.

Yeah I saw that but I'm against not being able to resell games so unless it's throw away money I try to avoid PSN, but good shout for those who don't know about the sale.
Amazing game. If you are a gamer and have a ps4 and don't have this.... what are you waiting for ???

Then you don’t own the game and in maybe 20years time (who knows) when you go to play it the server may also not exist lol. Would never recommend paying for air.

Haha well if that’s something that puts you off digital games then fair enough. However you do actually own the games officially, I can’t really see psn ever going under and if it ever does this game will be classed as retro by then. There is many major benefits for digital gaming if you don’t already do it like game sharing halving the sale price yet again, ease of access (especially if you travel around a lot as you don’t need to take loads of discs with you)
Physical copies of games just do not hold value well at all, by the time you have opened the wrapper you may as well have just payed for air.

I get that and that's great for your use case but not for all. I bought 3 games second hand recently, finished them all and wouldn't play them again. I lent one to a mate and traded 2 in for another game (straight swap so the shop thought they had value) which I will complete and then trade that in when I've completed that. I can't do that with digital versions which is why I choose to not buy them. But you're happy with digital games as it works for you, which is great as well. Happy days all round I say

I personally have had to fight sony over a couple of games just vanishing from my library and I never got them back because I (admittedly) stupidly deleted the email receipt a year after. Had the same issue on IOS with losing in app purchases. Sony have a clause in their terms and conditions which state they can remove and may not support any game. True they will likely be around for a long time but they definitely will not be supported forever and you never can say if a company will never go under

I certainly do see the benefits of digital content and still purchase digital if the price is good enough to warrant losing the resell value and not owning the product etc.

Have you ever sold a physical game? Its not like selling a used car.

Used copies of Horizon Zero Dawn Complete edition are still selling on eBay for £18-20.

Yeah my whole collection used to be physical games back in the day but just moving with the times now.

My above comment was more in relation to trade price and not private sale, if you look at the trade price I bet you will be looking at <10 for this sort of game. eBay yeah people will pay more for your games if you wanna go though the process but for about the same price digital is there stacked in your library if ever want to get back to it.

I have nothing against physical I just think in this case you won’t even be able to trade this copy in over here in the uk so it’s similar to a digital copy at the end of the day, Plus you can get playing today!

Trade in is currently £18 at Cex (for UK copy).

Damn sorry to hear you’ve had such a pain with the digital world I can only speak from my experience and I don’t think I’ve ever had a problem with them.

Haha yeah it defiantly could go under one day but I don’t think anyone needs to be worrying about that happening anytime soon was what I meant.

Digital purchasing is picking up big time now plus you even have some the bigger supermarkets stopping the sale of physical games due to the lack of money made from them as most people are downloading games and content these days.

Will be interesting to see where the gaming industry will be in the years to come

Trade in is currently £18 at Cex (for UK copy).

Not a bad voucher price that if you are wanting to stick with cex or wanting another second hand game from there but if you want to go else where £13 cash isn’t great.

Plus again if you order this one from 365games I don’t think you would have any luck trading it in the uk, if you plan on selling this copy eBay would be your best bet.
Thanks for the mention @mixmixi

Thanks for saying this. I got the platinum week of release and then sold it. Was gonna re-buy to do the DLC to get it back to 100%. Wont bother til a UK version is cheaper then!
Ordered. Thanks OP! HAWT

This happened to me with when I purchased Bloodborne from the US store. Of course I didn't have the email receipt either...
I had deleted the game as I had completed it but fancied doing the dungeons a bit later, but my PSN had no recollection of ever having owned the game. And this was after it was free on PS+
Awesome! Happy to save on this vs the PSN online sale! Thanks OP, ordered!

Spot on comment mate - I spend 3 months in the USA twice a year and hate having to carry wallets of discs everywhere - I buy all my titles digitally now and theyre sitting in the cloud - no problemo.

Saves a whole world of trouble, plus load times are better too.

Could I ask what in particular you liked in this game? I am somehow struggling to get excited about it after c.5h in. Somehow I feel as if I connected more with GOW and The Last of Us...then again, the two games just mentioned are within the Top 5 games of the decade, tough to compete!

The visuals are stunning and the storyline is totally original - I can't think of anything else like it anyway.

Combat is something totally different as well and is so much more satisfying than your standard gun shooter.

The levelling is straight forward too - nothing too complicated and you don't have to choose "a path" - ultimately you will unlock all the skills which I like, you just decide the order.

There's nothing particularly fancy or groundbreaking in the game (although the story is fantastic and very original IMO), but virtually everything is executed perfectly and it's so polished it is just a joy to play.

You mentioned TLOU. I've played it, and it was a great game too, but it's much more cinematic than Horizon. It's also much more linear. Horizon has the incredible storyline waiting in the wings for when you want to return to it, but you've got a lot of stuff to do besides it which is why I think Horizon is by some distance (IMO) the better game.

For me what I enjoyed about this game was it's mechanics and how you feel really vulnerable at times. Using antiquated weaponry against more sophisticated machines makes a change to the usual machine gun this and rocket launcher that in other games.

Also the story is surprisingly good when you begin discover the main character's connection with the fallen civilization of the past and why humanity is in it's current tribal state.
Some stunning visuals in this game.34499315-DWeus.jpg

I'd be much more open to owning digital games if you did actually own them, however there a number of things that can happen to your account which causes Sony to ban you, giving you an uphill fight to get your own paid for content. I normally sell games once I am done with them anyway as very rarely is there a game I will want to come back to years down the line and if they're new releases they hold value for a bit so it keeps gaming cheap, no option to do that with a digital game.

if you get fraud on your account and do a chargeback for example, Sony will ban you. Sony will, as a gesture of 'goodwill' , give you a one time pass in this respect, so if it happens again you are screwed.

This guy got banned because is name is, and always has been while he's been on PSN, Jihad - it took a media furore for him to get reinstated. reddit.com/r/P…in/
