Grr, I knew someone was going to say that! I only pointed it out as she has posted three deals today and every single time she has written 'debanhams' and it's doing my head in!

Maybe this is a different "Debanhams" where they actually deliver what you order unlike the "Debenhams" where they constantly send an email saying that the order has been cancelled. :-)

just to point out, some people in this world aint perfect, so what if i spelt summat wrong, i dont really care...all i want is for some us not to get ripped off when buying stuff.
i hate being done with prices and always compare things, yes my spelling isnt great, but i'm human, and therefore not perfect. just like all of you

Thanks for yr post Emma. Unfortunately the grammar nazis are abt!! :-D

If you thought the spelling mistake was poor; she is now missing whole words!

inflated RRP - been this price at hobby craft for a few months good deal though good starter set - hot

so to summarise all of the above :

the UK contains some people who cannot spell.
the HUKD site contains some people who are frustrated about the fact that some people in the UK cannot spell.
this deal is generally available elsewhere in the UK for the same price.

I have one question :

why the hell is it HOT just because of an inflated retail price ?

It's actually being sold by The Entertainer, not Debenhams and will be delivered direct from the Entertainer. That's why it won't allow you to collect in store or to use any discount codes. Debenhams have some sort of arrangement with the Entertainer to sell their stock.

Also, the original price is not £129, it's actually £99 but I doubt the Entertainer have ever sold it at that price.. see thetoyshop.com/Car…669

Lastly, if you order direct from the Entertainer, collect instore and use code VASOCT at checkout, you can get it for £47.49. plus 3.03% TCB/Quidc

Downt ya min ModAlzone !!!;)

Yep, this is the set which is 'reduced' at all times, at all outlets ...... I doubt any numptie has ever paid £99 for it - well, I hope not!

Turns out the title says hornby... I was quite intrigued by the horny blue highlander.

Does this have one of the Hornby digital powerpacks with it or one of the old analog ones?

I'm voting cold cos they might send you a scalextric instead.

Glad I wasn't the only one that read it like that at first glance!! oO

It's Hornby what more do you need to know it's utter rubbish - save your money and buy your child something better...

Look at Trix, Roco, Fleischmann or Marklin

What exactly is rubbish about Hornby ? very popular track and has been so for decades.

Same price in a few stores, notably Play have it, but heat for an extra outlet at this price as its decent value for what you get

The problem with debenhams is the ridiculous returns policy. they do not refund items that have been reduced by more than 50% so if it was a gift and someone else bought the same gift you are only allowed an exchange. have stopped shopping there because if that.
