Not very cheap at all

The prices themselves are up and down, but they do have a very good Topcashback offer of £15 for ANY hotel booking at the moment.

Bangkok hotels cheaper elsewhere.

Hong Kong Hotels are still as dear as they normally are :?

Just did a scan for our 12 nights at Easter in Orlando, they are upto double price of elsewhere.
One came up ay £476, only £270 on BA holidays site. Compare with sites like Alpharooms.

When you click through to login and buy, it has a caption about the discount near the hotel prices, and I think it deducts it from your basket automatically. I was just about to book a £197 trip, very handy

I must say i posted and did not spot the minimum spend either, saying all this, still money off and if someone is a member and has the rewards bit may still be of value to them.

you have to spend 170 quid though:roll:

Yes - they didn't make it clear in the email they sent out or on the screen you link to. Only after you sign up or log-in do you find out. It's not even in the T&Cs.

Underhand in my opinion - and HotelClub are usually more expensive than other competitors. I also don't find the site that user friendly. Not voted either way.

Anyone know of a cheap Hong Kong hotel 3* + in November? Can't find a decent hotel at less tha £70 per room.

its in the middle of nowhere, you would be tied to the hotel and its restaurant prices unless you hired a car

It does say that your credit card will not be charged until you agree to the price that is offered.

Interesting thanks - will check it out now.

To be honest I haven't found any particularly great sites yet for price.

It also works for me. However, when I tried to book a hotel with amount … It also works for me. However, when I tried to book a hotel with amount of GBP100 and using the free credit and the balance paid by Debit Card, it that it shows GBP 100 will be charged into my card although I have selected to use the free credit. Can anyone advise who has used the free credit before for booking hotel?? Many thanks

As I understand it .

If the hotel offers instant confirmation ,the discount will show immediately , otherwise it will not show until the hotel is confirmed .

Thanks for the feedback blueladd

As mentioned earlier, I used HotelClub to book a room in France without any problems.

I booked a hotel through these jokers on Thursday 14th August for a stay on Saturday 16th.

When I got to the hotel on Saturday, a room was booked but payment had not been received from hotelclub. Myself and the hotel manager spent an hour on the phone speaking to various call centre agents, and got no where, they had no one available at the weekend to sort this out , very, very poor customer service and highly embarrassing! They told the hotel they would have to wait until Monday morning, which the hotel was not willing to do as they have had previous problems with the owner of this company ORBITZ.
So far from saving me £25 I had to give my credit card to pay the standard rate of £65, £15 more than I would have had to pay if I’d just booked directly with the hotel on their website!

Personally I would AVOID HOTELCLUB like the plague; if anything goes wrong with you booking at the weekend, they have no one available to help!!!

I suggest that anyone that has booked through hotel-club double checks with the hotel before they travel to make sure that payment has been received! - Since posting this I have found dozens of complaints about Orbitz on various sites, most along the lines that when people turn up at hotels they end up paying again because payment has not been received from Orbitz!
Another thing, trying ringing UK based help number on the cofirmation voucher, 01753 288 952, it rings and then says "PLEASE HANG UP", if that dosent start alarm bells ringing then nothing will !

Re my booking above, I can get a very similar price at other websites with no booking or cancellation fee, so it's worth checking around. But the £25 has got to be worth having...

dunno if i wanna book with them... it says '24hrs on request' beside the booking option, so i dont know if its going to be confirmed until then and it also wants to take the full amount off me which would be £220.. dont want to commit that much when booking my hotel, think ill look for a different website that only takes deposit

im also booking a london hotel

Rydges Kensington Plaza Hotel London - anyone heard of it/.???
