Was just about to post this and you beat me to it lol. Heat added
Someone beat you both to it.
Might pay you to check the price in store first as we bought stuff from them with "Free Delivery" only to find a £350 item was £ 60 cheaper in store ,When we complained I was told the extra was to cover the "free delivery " so not exactly free delivery

to be honest this is common practice across all segments of the retail world... mobile phones that are`free' with contacts being the most obvious and annoying one to me
Cold, Save your money and buy a reliable brand.

Reliability doesn't matter when you have Costco providing the warranty (and Hotpoint are no worse than other brands in this price bracket).

Although do feel free to post a better deal at this price-point...

not sure if Costco provides the warranty on this, if comes with standard warranty, you will need to factor in the costs of labour which is expensive and you get a new friend who will come and visit you maybe once or twice a month if you are unlucky, if you are lucky it will be every other month one of the brands you bought in the 70/80 but not any more.

Hotpoint really aren't value at any price, Ok Costco may honour the warranty but not nice when you've got a family with loads of washing building up etc.. Ok it looks like good value but essentially they'll end up in the landfill in 2 years.
Cold.. 0.5kg of wasted drying space after a full wash load

Costco provide warranty on all items they sell, and unless specified like TVs (5 years) and Computers (2 years) etc. it's a lifetime warranty.

...we guarantee your satisfaction with every product we sell. If you are not satisfied with the products sold by us, you may return them to us for a full refund, including delivery charges.Whilst nearly all items can be returned without a time limit

As a side note, we've had a Hotpoint washer for ~10 years and a tumble-dryer for ~6 years and neither have missed a beat in that time, so not sure where you're getting it from that they are so unreliable.

What other brand(s) would you recommend at this price instead?

I must say though, the washing machine only spins up to 1150 rpm, which would leave clothes a bit damp.

The tumble dryer is only category C energy efficient.

Wouldn't this mean that each load of laundry would be a bit more expensive to dry as the washing machine leaves them a bit too damp (not soggy, mind) and the tumble dryer is not efficient at drying them?
Is all this irrelevant?

Good job the damp clothes weigh more than dry ones.

If you were to fully load the washing machine it would technically require 2 separate loads in the tumble dryer as 7kg of dry clothes would be a lot heavier with all the water in them.

I am not saying anything is wrong with the price and for sure you wont get both for the price anywhere, you may be lucky as other have said on here and if you google or look at other hotpoint threads on here you will be shocked, customer service is terrible, the items have poor build quality. I came from a home where you only bought hotpoint, moved into a new house and replaced everything with hotpoint, so many issues with a dishwasher that had to be replaced by another after 2 years which then had the same faults in the end gave up on it and bought a different brand, no issues touch wood after 3 years. A washing machine which was a total nightmare, guy out every other month and paying for the extra additional warranty every year should have realised how bad things were going to be when the bolts that secures the concrete block on the top of the washer sheered off after 6 months and they said it wasn't covered by the warranty even though all 4 bolts went. In the end we gave up on it and bought an LG, 2 years later all is good. The final piece of hotpoint is a fridge now no engineer visits for that one, but shelves and salad boxes replaced many times over the years. You get what you pay for and I don't tell anyone not to buy any products but I will warn anyone over hotpoint pay a little extra and get a good quality product but as I said these are really cheap. Sorry rant over

didn't know about the other Costco warranty, that's good to know

I fear "once a month if your lucky" is a bit of an exaggeration......Yes hotpoint have gone down hill but if they were THAT BAD they'd be bankrupt!

It seems like once a month and if you have lots of products it really can be that often sometimes but they are cover by us muppets paid them for the extended warranty or the high labour charges on their parts warranty. as said if you look at other threads on here same posts, if you google same posts and if you ask a white good engineers they will tell you keep away from and of the indesit brands
wow....bargain
wow....hotpoint
