No idea ? it's a minefield now ! Bosch are owned by someone new. Grundig offer 5 year parts and labour and are are German engineering but have a factory in Turkey!! beko/Kenwood/whirlpool seem to be same company and loads of other makes seem to just stick their badge on Chinese manufacturing ?? seems like only ones that actually make their own products are meile , Samsung , lg all expensive for anything similar.
Did so much research and generally hotpoint had good customer reviews and after pulling it apart and slamming the door shut about 20 times really hard (curry's were no impressed) I am happy this is well made.

I think indesit and hotpoint merged ?

We bought the none digital display version for £239 and used our tesco vouchers (£70) this doubled to £140 off. Internally it's the same machine. The machine top spinner hit the basket. Engineer then broke some clips when he was examining fault but was puzzled and could not fix. Took several calls and 6 weeks to get replacement parts including new spinner that just clips on top basket. I fitted parts myself in the end. I also used plastic packers and some zip ties to sort spinner arm in the end as gave up with customer service. I think something went wrong with manufacturer of our machine as things never lined up internally? Machine works well now although we just run on the 2 hour normal setting. Never needed economy or quick wash. I think digital displays are just more to go wrong but others may like options. It quiet and washes well but you need to raise the top basket and leave it up for plates to fit in bottom. I think this raising basket causes the spinner to hit the basket however test your machine as soon as you get it by manually spinning with your hand as you would do anyway to make sure it clears everything. We have about 2mm clearance at back now I fiddled with it. The free 5 year parts cover dose not included engineer call out.

Sorry just noticed this machine has 10 years parts cover. I think it's £96 plus vat to call out engineer but that may be wrong but it about that figure. Hotpoint will offer you call out insurance to run along side the free parts.
