already very well priced at tesco (about £50 cheaper than everywhere else) but using the 20% off code the price comes down further to less than £200. The machine has good reviews too.

20% off with TD-JRWK

Packed with convenient features, the Hotpoint WMXTF742K washing machine is a great choice for small to medium-sized homes. With a 7kg drum capacity, the machine offers space for clothes, towels and bedding. A selection of fast cycles lets you refresh an outfit in 9 minutes or do a quick wash in 15, 30 or 60 minutes. There's also a special anti-stain cycle that removes 20 of the most stubborn stains in only one wash.

The Hotpoint WMXTF742K washing machine is rated A++ for energy efficiency, A+ for washing performance and B for spin drying performance. It features a 1400rpm spin speed, 16 cleaning programmes, anti-allergy cycles and has a platinum Woolmark certification to take care of your woollens.

Hotpoint's anti-allergy programme uses a combination of high temperature technology and extra rinses to neutralise and remove 99.9% of major allergens, including dust mites and pollen.

Please note: Hotpoint offers a 10-year guarantee on all parts – subject to terms.

Watch out for the parts warranty. They charge a fortune for labour and will tell you you are better off with the paid for yearly warranty.

There are slightly cheaper machines but looking at the specs this is a definite bargain.

Try telephoning them, you might get some good hearted person who could apply the code for you, or give you another suggestion. Good luck.

Take it you've had one before
If you want Hotpoint/Indesit/Whirlpool have a look at Hotpoint Clearance Store, ICELAND36 give 36% off, 8% Quidco.

Yes, From experience, They use same parts across models too etc.. They are poorly made, They used to be good but terrible now.
Code doesn't work. That's more time wasted on the useless slow Tesco website!
Whoops entered code in wrong place! Would be better if they just applied it at checkout after all who's not gonna wont the discount?
At this price it's well worth it and reviews all seem favourable. Ordered one anyway!

Thanks op.
Excellent, used code to buy a new black indeset fridge freezer, with code it came in at £167 delivered.
Hotpoint - no thanks!
If you want a cheap machine with reasonable quality you can't beat BEKO.
I have had this hotpoint washing machine since 2012 and it has been used daily, been relable do far for a family of 4.

Good deal but I won't touch Hotpoint since I discovered I had one of their tumblers that can catch fire ( and the 9 month wait for a repair).

Pointless just saying things like 'you can't beat Beko' if you don't give a link to a better washing machine deal for £195! oO

Totally Agree, Hotpoint have gone downhill, wouldn't touch them, my friends hotpoint broke after 3 years, his bearings went, Engineer said loads of call outs on hotpoints, not Reliable anymore, as others have said if you use everyday will go faulty after a few years, Beko is better Value for the Money.

Let's face it any tumble dryer has the potential to catch fire if not cleaned regularly!

Possibly, but the lack of customer care is shocking. If you google the " This Morning" campaign you will see how many house fires have been caused by this issue. It is only a matter of time before serious injury or worse happens.

For £200 delivered if it lasts four years of being used four or five times a week, I can cope with buying something nice and new and shiny by that point.

I should add that I bought a similar machine from Currys in Dec 2014 and we've had no issues since.

Think about all the trees etc..
I am replacing a 4 1/2 year old Bosch which cost twice as much. I thought when I bought it they were the dogs b's but as well as the grey seal going black it's been a noisy/smelly piece of crud to be honest.
If this Hotpoint only lasts as long then I'll be happy!

Regularly on here for this sort of price. Wasn't pointless since it balanced my statement (based on many surveys) that Hotpoint are not good but BEKO are.

Whereas my £220 Bosch is nearly 8 years old and as good as the day we bought it.
A sample of one means very little, either way. If you follow the surveys with decent sample sizes you'll find that Hotpoint are consistently very poor whereas Bosch and BEKO are mid table. Yes, Miele are excellent but when you look at their prices you wonder if they are actually good value.
Thanks for the head up daisyb212

Wife just bought the 9kg version at £269 (so paid £215)
She is pleased with that.

That's her birthday present sorted then

Wow that's a bargain for the 9k!! Happy birthday haha
Our hotpoint is 8 years old having relaxed one over 10 years, can't knock them really. Although the tumble dryer wait is a joke
Currently indesit, hotpoint and whirlpool machines are at the centre of various recalls due to poor designs and safety in their products, these are causing a great deal of house fires. If you care about your house, your neighbours or your family/pets you'll pay a few more pounds for a better brand, sure it'll cost a little more but it safer!

My mum's beko fridge (in sept) in the middle of the night burst into flames destroying her kitchen and some of the lounge, she was lucky to escape with her life. Cheaper products are often poorer quality and for something that needs to be left on, plugged in or left running all the time and maybe when you aren't home or at night you don't want to take any risks.

Shhh you have just put the kibosh on it. Has to be one or two good ones out there but one thing for sure hotpoint won't want you shouting about it they only make any money on the repairs.

There have been reports of Vauxhall Zifiras bursting in to flames, should we all stop buying Vauxhalls as well?
Get it in perspective!

Oh dear, according to some comments on here if you buy a Hotpoint it appears you must be trying to knock her off in a house fire!
Nice deal but I would never buy Hotpoint products again. sorry.
