For anyone else needing a machine now, from a quick browse these other options below seem worthy of mention. All seem to be eligible for LG or Samsung 5-year warranty, but do double-check eligibility lists and terms: LG / Samsung. Samsung does say eBay is excluded, although Box on there advertise Samsung machines as having the 5-year warranty. May just be that Samsung mean third-party sellers, but not 100% certain.

    10.5 kilo LG £431 delivered at Mark's Electrical with code SAVE10. Don't forget Topcashback/Quidco.

Same machine at Hughes eBay - in case Mark's sell out, should be £441 with code BIG15 after 10 this morning unless Hughes hike the price. Again, don't forget eBay cashback and check Nectar account for any extra points offers.

Samsung Autodose 9 kilo at Hughes eBay - should be £381 with code BIG15.
9 kilo LG Steam at Box eBay - £394 with code.
9 kilo Samsung Ecobubble at Box eBay - £339 with code. Same machine, same price, at Crampton and Moore eBay
9 kilo Samsung Addwash - £364 at Crampton and Moore eBay.

Think I'm done for now - obviously cheaper machines to be had, but these are all in a similar price bracket to the one in this deal, 9 kg capacity or greater, and should come with a 5-year warranty (this isn't absolutely guaranteed on the Samsungs, but suspect eBay purchases won't be an issue when it's an established vendor.)

Would personally favour the LG models, with the 10.5 kg as the standout if within budget. This was cheaper earlier in the year and may be again in future, but this is intended for people needing a washing machine now or soon. Put the model numbers into the HUKD search and you'll find previous deals for most of them with comments discussing their merits and downsides.

Don't listen mate some desperado, I had hotpoint washing machine, fridge which were running for min 5 years, not sure what people moaning about 373 at the moment is a steal

Really would avoid Hotpoint when for less money you can get an LG or Samsung with the same or larger capacity and often a 5-year warranty. RRP seems to be massively inflated on this, £660 almost taking you into Miele territory!

EDIT: seems you can claim a 5-year warranty on this machine, see comments below for link and other options (edited)

Our Hotpoint just died after four years of abuse on mostly twice three times a day and overloading, also spent two years dancing around the kitchen before the bearing packed in. I went for another one but ended up with lg simply due to the sale price they are decent machines

You can register for the 5 years labour and 10 years parts warranty anyway! That’s a ace of a bargain price.. head added and bought.. cheers just what I needed (edited)

Seems you can indeed claim a 5-year parts and labour warranty on this model, well spotted: hotpointwarranty.co.uk/ter…ns/

Amazon doesn't appear on the list of retailers on the registration form, but there is a option for "other" and nothing in the terms says that it has to be a specific retailer.

Just be fully prepared to make use of the warranty, perhaps more than once (although this can also be said of Samsung, judging by comments on here.)

Unreliable machines. Maybe it's just having three kids but being without a washing machine for >24hrs is a disaster. Would rather pay extra for something reliable. Our current Bosch is seven years old, has washed nappies for all three children without any faults. Worth it for the peace of mind quite before the environmental impact of scrapping machines every 3-4 years.

No thanks, would never touch hotpoint, whirpool, indesit brands again - cheap tat - Have had a hotpoint microwave that started to rust... an indesit fridge which had doors that were rusting within a year, and a whirpool oven that was also problematic - electronic issues etc.

Even the engineer that came out said they are not what they used to be.
    Low quality at higher prices.

I won't be buying Hotpoint appliances again.

Bought a gas cooker which has had a few faults within guarantee, including flame not staying on.

Just out of the 2 year warranty now and the grill flame won't stay on.

Hello, it's preecey back commenting once again on a Hotpoint/Indesit/Whirlpool 'deal' imploring you NOT to buy this washing machine.

Seriously, don't buy anything made by Whirlpool.

Our Hotpoint managed to make a massive hole by itself, as if someone had a big drilling machine

    Never again (edited)

Bought a Hotpoint Washing machine, 2 weeks later there was smoke, it turned out to be that the drum was rubbing on the internal seal, the door also creaked. 2 Issues on a new machine within the first 2 weeks is unacceptable, AO were happy to replace with a Samsung which seems to be going strong.
