HUKD seems in quite a 'washing machine' mood recently, so here's my contribution.

A great price for a washing machine with a truly massive capacity (11kg). Also looks rather sexy (well, as sexy as a washing machine can look). A+++ rated too, so very energy and water efficient.

Note, if you want a faster spin and digital display, the AQ113F497IUK is available for £399.00.

Pretty decent price for this capacity. Thanks

looks sick, wow i always loved these, pray for me i get a nice big house!

Voted hot, huge capacity but only 1200 spin.

I've had the Aqualtis washer/drier for 5 years now and it has never let me down.

For anyone with a time machine, it was £320 last week at John Lewis.

Got one of these a year ago - great machine - or so the Mrs tells me (_;)

My sister had one, well just the washing machine and though it looked amazing and was a high capacity, it was an absolute disaster. It kept jamming shut, lights would stay on, you couldnt select the programme you wanted, you couldn't get your stuff out of the machine. Then the filter plug at the bottom kept leaking even though it was closed fully. It was literally one thing after another and after two yrs she bought a cheap beko machine which has worked a dream.

ive got one, bigger isnt always better, its a nice machine but doesnt wash as well as my more 'basic' machines did to be honest

I've had 2 hotpoint machines now and both of them put holes in clothes. wouldn't have another.

Washing machines are NOT sexy !

hotpoint has the reputation for it, i remeber my mums did the same 10 years ago it like burning init

big machin. not sur y u need it soooooooooooo big

gone off hot point and indesit as they have electronic controllers and when they break (just after warranty) its very expensive to repair. cold

I have this machine but in silver and with a 1600 spin, it's great.

I love the steam hygiene option.

Be warned that it is 5 cms deeper than standard washing machines so may not sit under your kitchen worktops without sticking out

My GF has one from this range and they're great washing machines.

They have a steam function which can be handy for things like gym clothes or stuff that's been in the wardrobe for ages.

Looks like a coffee machine.

What washing machine made in the last 25 years doesn't use a control board?

Hot for the looks

I wouldn't ever buy a hotpoint washing machine again.
They are designed to be a disposable product that needs replacing within a year of the 12 month warranty expiring.
They give a free? 3 year parts warranty but charge you £100 call out fee , total rip off.
Buy a German machine (you all know the makes) you will save a fortune in the long term..

Your correct but Hotpoint control boards are total crap like the rest of the product and mostly lasting 18 months and are not a simple swap over without re programming.
The hotpoint machines made 30 years ago were light years ahead in quality and reliability compared with the rubbish made nowadays.

Not bad, however, I purchased the Hotpoint Aqualtis AQD1170D697E (11kg Washer/7kg Dryer, 1600 Spin, Touch Controls and an overall 'A' energy rating) for £369 delivered. It was purchased from Appliances Direct and the service I received from the company was outstanding. At the time, John Lewis wanted £999 for it!

I have had one for about 7 or eight years, possibly longer, and it has never had a single problem bar the biennial need for the filter to be emptied of money and hair clips.

Great price for an efficient, large and well specified machine.

This machine is much more efficient and doesn't have a dryer to break down.

A washing machine can break down just as easily as a dryer or washer/dryer.

One in five washer-dryers needs repair in its first six years, compared to around one in ten washing machines and tumble dryers.

A washing machine mood is one I have never been in before!

Spin speed only tells half the story: spin performance is what you're interested in, and is affected by lots of other factors, not least the diameter of the drum, which, presumably for this machine, is considerable.

Yes, I think you're right. She also had a Bosch dishwasher years ago which was crap at washing the dishes and a Bosch washing machine with the smallest opening I've ever seen on an automatic washing machine. Yet Bosch is supposed to be good.

With Bosch theres a secret, if the door is hinged on the right they used to be better quality than the ones hinged on the left. Something to do with the country they where made in.
