Hmm, Hotpoint. Personally I wouldn't.

And ends in 97p so will be clearance and hard to find any in stock.

Just no, Hotpoint are rubbish, in fact rubbish is useful, therefore Hotpoint is worse than rubbish. In case I wasn't clear, Hotpoint is rubbish.

Care to give advice on what makes to lean towards?

For £10 more Currys are selling a Beko with a bigger load and faster spin. Or for £20 more than the Hotpoint a Bosch with similar specs. I'd go for either of those over an Indesit made Hotpoint washing machine.

A lot of money for a 6KG 1200 Spin - you will find better / cheaper elsewhere.

I can vouch for that from my personal experience from owning a Hotpoint dishwasher (sorry, meant washing machine - but still fee the same re: quality), and later researching on a replacement.
Google " HOTPOINT RECALL " for further details on why they're cheap and why to avoid

Go to your local river. ....find a large rock and whack your clothes on that.....free and won't break down..

not for 229....

I bought a similar spec Zanussi at a similar price, and so far it's been good.

it's already been said, but I'll echo it - don't waste your money on hotpoint!

I'd go for this one, roughly the same cost.

Avoid. Hotpoint washing machines explode. Get a Samsung. They start at £379 with a 5 year guarantee included as standard.

We've been buying Hotpoints for years for our own homes and also rented flats and have had no problems whatsoever.
They are tough, reliable, spare parts are easy to come by and the price is right. Even washer dryers, which are complicated machines, have performed 100 per cent for years.
Beware of the doom-mongers. How many machines have they ever bought? We have purchased dozens.
