Hotpoint WMFUG942P £202 at Hotpoint Clearance

I know it will attract the Hotpoint haters, but seems to be a good price for a new 9kg load machine with smart features. Price includes free delivery and recycling of old machine, cheapest I can find elsewhere is Curry's at £279. Only graphite available but seems like a decent price.

Standard Hotpoint, 12 months warranty with 10 years on parts. I suspect that means you would have to use Hotpoint to do repairs, at this price probably cheaper to replace than repair.

Thanks

If you can, extend the warranty, never do well in tests

Looks like you have linked to your payment instead

Cold, Hotpoint. Not built to last and will probably burn your house down. Avoid.

link not working?

How much to rebuild your flats when it goes up in flames?

Is this an official website?

Is this website official??

Why did they make it look so old-fashioned??

You are very lucky, many of us have suffered at the hands of hotpoint, paying fortune out in extended warranty, having a new person to send a Christmas card to as the engineer was at the house so often. A once great brand ruined by the Italians and the mess left for whirlpool to sort out but oddly people still buy this rubbish and the company will never learn, businesses have gone to the wall for less :

But they don't make 'em like they used to!
Seriously, the only thing yours and this one have in common are the eight letters on the badge.

yep, same goes for indesit, as its one of the hotpoint brands - used to be good. Now they do so called eco machines that destroy clothing by beating the life out it with a teaspoon of water

This is why brands like hotpoint will always make mega sales and be regarded as one of the best by most people.

Too many unsuspecting consumers thinking its the same brand from 14 years ago. I see it all the time. Those who don't use the internet much have no chance in knowing if its the same old hotpoint from 14 years ago.

Bought one of these 3 months ago ... Very VERY High pitched spin on it. Rang hotpoint to ask if there was a fault because of the noise and they basically replied with "You get what you paid for" (In not so many words). We paid £350 for ours aswell - Aren't I silly HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Washing machines depress me HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Had my Hotpoint for over 12 years no problems - only replaced due to bushes wearing out.

Doesn't that make it hot, or at least potentially hot?!

Last ever Hotpoint washing machine we bought about 15 years ago, the bearings failed completely after just one year! Needed a new back half of the plastic tub, new drum, new spider etc, was the one time it was worth paying an Indesit hotpoint repairman to fix it because buying the parts to fix it myself would have cost much more than their fees.

I've also never had a set of motor brushes in a Hotpoint washing machine last more than 4 years, although at least they're easy to replace.

Terribly rubber seal do not buy

Had mine for over 5 years and bought second hand, still going strong ma

Link doesn't work for me session timed out

Its definitely a great price, but voted cold. It is a brand I wont go anywhere near though.

As said above the seals tend to break as soon as the 1 year warranty lapses (1 year!) so buy it through a reputable supplier like John Lewis who will provide additional warranty. You will find that the seals are classed as consumables so not covered by their 10 year parts warranty.

However you wont get it at this price in John Lewis and you will need to pay for additional years warranty so this will bump up the price.

I imagine that's 'brushes' - do you know what they are? Why would you replace it for that?

Anyway, your 12 year old machine bears zero comparison to this one. Have you actually read the thread?

that was the correct link. Just tried and it has gone so that means possibly no longer available.
