Perfect for stocking fillers, thanks OP!

Damn thats dear, my local shop is £4.75 for 25kg household coal

Started of lookinh "hot" but Unclegeorge may have brought it back.
Dear Unclegeorge, who is your local shop?

Yeah, Unclegeorge, who/where is your local shop selling house coal at less than a tenner per cwt???

Typical price is about £20 per cwt (which is about 50 kilos)

Even wholesale prices are at least £10 per cwt after vat (requires 28-30 tons minimum)

Coal what's that!

It's great for bughts. Like we use wood throughout the day-more heat. Before we go to bed we just put some coal in and that keeps stove nice and hot for few hours so no need for central heating.
Depends on your actual make of stove. We have Barley(hope thats right) and we had to purchase special iron thing we put inside of stove and then it doesnt matter if we use wood or coal. Btw costed us £60 but well worth it..
Hope that helps

No idea what "bughts" means. Suposed to be both..

Im afraid you'll find coal has a higher calorific value than any wood

Doesnt show 3 for 2 online.. So is this deal available in all stores?

yeah.... more calories per weight but coal lasts ages so you get heat over a longer time but wood burns quicker and so throws out heat quicker in my experience.
I get what the OP means.
I use coal for that long term warmth but wood when you want to heat something quickly

Great value for both the coal and the smokeless. CPL distribution themselves charge £10.75 and £15.70 respectively for 25 kg, in my area (SW London/Surrey) so £7.98 and £11.98 for 30 kg is a bit of a bargain. Plus, more manageably sized bags.

Have some heat! (boom-boom).

Wow.. Had no idea coal was so expensive... Switch to wood... You can get trees for free in the forest!!

Showing as out of stock online and most local collection are also out of stock. I have found cheapest place to buy is Home Bargains, £3.99 for 10kg, multi purpose smokeless fuel(free collection from store). This is what we burn (along with logs) on our stove.

Why is Unclegeorge not telling us where his cheap Local Shop is?

House Coal is also available @ £2.99

We call it Coyle around here, not seen any for years.... Is it still coloured?? (Can't say black) (_;)

Just got back from my local and these are not 3 for 2 so just a lical deal

I've bought it 3 for 2 from two Wickes stores. Working out at £5.32 for 20Kg of housecoal it's better than the farm shop where I've been buying at £5.95 for 20Kg. Thanks for posting.
