Great price for anybody who can look past that flaw.
It's never lupus.
I currently have Seasons 1-8 on dvd, and all bar the first one use the original US theme music. If what you say is correct, that will become the one reason I don't buy this set.
Or sarcoidosis?
What a great series it was.
Voted hot.
...if it is then best change your status to "it's complicated"
A reviewer on Amazon says that it has the remixed theme rather than Massive Attack. I assume Universal didn't want to pay out for the licence to use the music.
Every time I watched the show on Sony TV, it used the alternative theme. The licence they had for the DVD release is probably expired and any re releases is DVD will go down the same route.
If the eventual US version is region free, I'll buy that. Otherwise I'll pass on this.
which one do you not like? there's three: american (teardrop), singaporean, and european. strangely, the only one i haven't heard on an episode is the european one! I think over here we got a mix of singaporean and american and didn't mind either. the european one was just a little 'bright' and annoying.
maybe it depended which channel showed it?
Good point. I'd be disappointed if Universal released a different version as it seems that many Blu-ray's use the masters originally released in the US market. Another example; at the beginning The Winter Soldier, Steve Rogers has a pocket book of pop culture items to check out. This differs in the cinematic releases depending on country but on the UK Blu Ray release, it's the American version which is shown
Thanks for that. That really is the only thing that's stopping me buying this now. Flubit have just offered it me for £65.80.
Wow, i didn't even know there was a third theme. Teardrop is my favourite, as i started watching it when i was studying in the States, but strangely the theme that the Universal channel uses (not Sony TV as i said before) is the Singapore version. I've never heard the European one, but i assume that's for the rest of the continent as the UK is never counted is European. I still think the US version is the strongest of the three, and i'll continue to hold out for a region free US box set.
