At just five years old, Dana learned that there was no one she could trust. Most devastating of all, even her own mother betrayed her and in the most unimaginable way. For years, Dana and her younger sister suffered at the hands of one of Britain's largest ever-known paedophile rings. And their mother did nothing to protect them. Only now is Dana's nightmare coming to an end as she crusades to put her abusers behind bars. In June 2007 the truth was finally exposed. Dana bravely testified against her own mother. The woman who had subjected Dana and her sister to a lifetime of horror was sentenced to twelve years in prison. It was one of the most traumatic ordeals Dana has ever experienced. But a shocked world was finally forced to open its eyes to what happened to Dana. This is her story of survival.

Such a sad childhood-i was in tears when she was on breakfast tv this morning. i dont think i could bring myself to read the book-it would be too upsetting. Heat added though-great price.

I doubt I could read this book, but a very brave girl:

The men involved got far too lenient sentences in my view, even if they serve the full time (which I doubt they will).

The number of books like these around you'd think nearly everyone had been abused.

NONCE SENSE

Not as good as 'Why did Granddad put his finger up my bum?'

A terrible tale of woe.

This is emotion porn.

I hadn't heard of this until I saw a snippet of the interview on 'This Morning' programme, yesterday.

I just couldn't believe what this poor young girl had gone through..........

There are some really SICK SICK people in this mad world today

Is this available anywhere in ebook format ?

Dont get me wrong its very sad etc etc.

But I was in a Smiths the other day and they actually had a section for these called something like 'Troubled life Section' or something like that. Its like everyone wants to cash in on their misery....bit odd if you ask me.

only in Plymouth...

I din't mean to be unsympathetic and I don't want to bury my head in the sand but I would not be able to stomach this book and would make me paranoid enough never to let my own children out. I know she has a story to tell but I don't think we need all the details to remind us of what a sordid world we live in.:x
