We all expect to be able to buy an excellent cup of coffee from the many brilliant coffee shops available. But what about the coffee we make at home? Shouldn't that be just as good?
Coffee guru James Hoffmann runs Square Mile Coffee, as well as creating extremely informative, and popular, kit and coffee reviews for his YouTube and Instagram channels. In his latest book he demonstrates everything you need to know to make consistently excellent coffee at home, including: what kit is worth buying, and what isn't; how to grind coffee; the basics of brewing for all major equipment (cafetiere, aeropress, stovetop etc); understanding coffee drinks, from the cortado to latte and the perfect espresso.

I think this, like cook books, work less well on a Kindle, and worth splashing out for a coffee table (geddit?!) hardback. As others have said, he's got a great YouTube channel.
It's a good book, I bought it recently and it's very good quality. Lovely.
Lots of useful tips, but I would say if you already watch his videos like myself then you probably won't learn anything new.
The ratios and measurements never stick for me, or times so it's nice to have them on hand in the kitchen rather than a phone. But it hasn't changed how I make espresso, buy coffee or use an Aeropress. As his previous videos have. (Although I prefer my own method for Aeropress).
I’m a beginner to an Aeropress buying beans from Rave. I don’t know though how much grams of coffee to use. Is it just experimentation? How does your method differ to his?
Excellent book, but I won’t be buying as this seems the sort book which is best as physical copy IMO.
Still voting hot though. (edited)
Or you could just watch youtube
Tbh this be nice as a hardback (edited)
If you don't want to use Amazon or you need a different ebook format, Hive Books have an epub version for the same price. hive.co.uk/Pro…215
If only Hames Joffman authored this, I'd be all over it
