You have two and a half hours left... 3411347.jpgThe most famous confidence-boosting book ever published; with sales of over 16 million copies worldwide

Millions of people around the world have improved their lives based on the teachings of Dale Carnegie. In How to Win Friends and Influence People, he offers practical advice and techniques, in his exuberant and conversational style, for how to get out of a mental rut and make life more rewarding.

His advice has stood the test of time and will teach you how to:
- make friends quickly and easily
- increase your popularity
- persuade people to follow your way of thinking
- enable you to win new clients and customers
- become a better speaker
- boost enthusiasm among your colleagues

This classic book will turn your relationships around and improve your interactions with everyone in your life.

Dale Carnegie, known as 'the arch-priest of the art of making friends', pioneered the development of personal business skills, self-confidence and motivational techniques. His books - most notably How to Win Friends and Influence People - have sold tens of millions worldwide and, even in today's changing climate, they remain as popular as ever.

This grandfather of all people-skills books was first published in 1937. It was an overnight hit, eventually selling 15 million copies.
How to Win Friends and Influence People is just as useful today as it was when it was first published, because Dale Carnegie had an understanding of human nature that will never be outdated.
Financial success, Carnegie believed, is due 15 percent to professional knowledge and 85 percent to "the ability to express ideas, to assume leadership and to arouse enthusiasm among people."
He teaches these skills through underlying principles of dealing with people so that they feel important and appreciated. He also emphasises fundamental techniques for handling people without making them feel manipulated.
Carnegie says you can make someone want to do what you want them to by seeing the situation from the other person's point of view and "arousing in the other person an eager want."
You learn how to make people like you, win people over to your way of thinking, and change people without causing offence or arousing resentment.
For instance: "Let the other person feel that the idea is his or hers" and "talk about your own mistakes before criticising the other person."
Carnegie illustrates his points with anecdotes of historical figures, leaders of the business world and everyday folks. --Joan Price

"it changed my life" (Warren Buffet)

"The most successful self-help book of all time... Carnegie has never seemed more relevant" (The Times) --The Times

"It's helped me immeasurably in life. I think everyone should read it" (Jenny Colgan, Independent on Sunday) --Independent on Sunday

"a no-nonsense guide to being a better person...an easy-to-read, practical guide" (Spirit and Destiny) --Spirit and Destiny

Great book, read it literally 5 times. Unfortunately the people who most need this are those who are least likely to give it a read

True. But for .99p, a No.1 bestseller and 15,000+ reviews. You might find that Dale expanded a tad on your words of wisdom.

Why use 35000 words when 10 will do?
Simon Pegg made a film with this title I think, the film has to be the worst movie I have ever seen in my life

This always happens with this book. People are cynical/hostile because of the title. If you read the book and not just the title, then you will see that it is a great book that is not underhanded at all.
I know how to lose friends on a serious note this may help your relationship to lol although I never read it.

Tell me more. I love the way you type. I could read you all day long.

You dont need to appologise. It's natural to doubt. We all make mistakes but yours I can learn from. You sound positive and engaging so I'm here to listen. Your words strike a chord with me. The smiley lol face you added made me smile. I know it's late at night but I feel a vibe. Crazy?

Yes my new friend I think we just saved the people 99p I look forward to our conversations and what it brings. You have a good night don't go reading anymore books otherwise I'll know something's up

Then no need to spend 99p on this book, just do exactly the opposite to what he does in the film
I read this book but I still can't win any friends and certainly can't influence anybody. Am I just misunderstood or just a plain loser? I don't ask much. I just want to be surrounded by a good looking ladies.

You sure you took it in because you've probably lost friends and alienated people now.

Plastic surgery?
There's some good advice in here, the advice about sleep is redundant, science tells us that lack of sleep massively screws us up. This is a book written in 1936 if my memory serves me right.

programpeace.com and The Mind Illuminated by John Yates Phd, if you only read those two resources in your life then you're ahead of the game.
Fascinating read...great illuminating examples and forensic approach. Yes it can seem dated now but the messages are timeless.

Just don’t stop with this one. In the end it’s all about finding a way to be a bit happier....and for that I’d recommend’Happy’ by Derren Brown or books on CBT/ACT and Stoicism. It’s all in your head ta know!

Some of it is in your head, but I think some of it is your genetic makeup as well (especially if you have mental illness in your family). But I suppose that's a whole different tangent.

Yep Agree genetics is an important component...but the genetics are having an impact on what’s going on in your head. And these types of books are not the solution for many people with significant Mental Health problems (although CBT/ACT are recognised treatments). For the rest of the population a better awareness that the mind can help hugely with day to day stress, anxiety etc. Well...helped me anyway!

of course, but you said you are not asking for much, and the reality is that it is a big ask for any man, to be surrounded by beautiful women. unless you are very handsome yourself or have lots of money, it is a big ask
